Doubt isn't a bad thing, Deana. Even Jesus experienced it on the cross just before he deliberately gave up his life. But He did it anyway.

I love the part in the Chronicles of Narnia when Puddleglum makes his declaration of faith to the Witch keeping Prince Caspian in prison in the silver chair.

Why do people need something after this to go on living happily? Everything ends. Even if your belief is that the end stops everything that would not be a bad thing. Some schools of thought call it "nothingness". Upon grasping the nothingness or the Christian heaven there should be no fear in either case. The fear factor is the great unknown and all those who are so certain are still living. I have yet to ask a dead guy what happens after.
