How much does Barack Obama hate Israel and want to throw her under the bus? Here’s how much; the Obama administration not only excluded Israel from a new counterterrorism forum in Spain, it didn’t even mention Israel in its remarks. If there were ever a country that has dealt with murderous terrorist attacks over and over again, that country would be Israel.

When Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced the coalition’s formation in June, she didn’t include Israel on her list of countries that suffer from terror attacks.  In the controversy that followed, the supposition was that Obama and his minions caved into pressure from Turkey, whose leadership has become Islamist, and other Arab states, which hate Israel.

Defenders of Israel were furious, even those who were Democrats.

Shooting in Toulouse

Several years ago, I had the privilege of travelling to France. Beautiful music; delectable crepes.  I can still taste the tarte au framboise from here. While there, I toured a monument just behind of Notre Dame, honouring the Jews who died in the concentration camps of WWII.  As I observed it, I noted the harsh irony given the violent, bloody hate-crimes Jews in France experiencing at the time. I believe that trip was in 2004.

From Drudge comes this Times of Israel article, "After attack, MK calls on Jews to leave France"

The Vancouver Sun quotes:  "The Brussels-based Rabbinical Centre of Europe (RCE) said: 'It is difficult to believe that the main challenge to European Jewry remains anti-Semitism and threats to their lives.'"

The bullets are reported to match those that killed three French soldiers last week.

At the time, the monument behind Notre Dame, to be honest, felt like it was honouring people who suffered without really pointing to the reason, the real reason, why they had suffered.

And after we finished up there, we skipped across town and watched the Cirque de Soleil...

Like I said, that was back in 2004.

Steven Hayward at Powerline is wondering that which some enterprising journalist uninterested in keeping his gig (since I'm sure he'd soon be blacklisted) should take to Paul Krugman:

So Paul Krugman phoned in his periodic “Keynes Was Right” column today, arguing that the Obama Porkulus failed only because, like “true” Communism, it wasn’t tried vigorously or faithfully enough.

I wonder if Krugman also credits Keynes’s views on Jews, which British blogger Damian Thompson of The Telegraph brings to our attention.  From Keynes’s diary:

[Jews] have in them deep-rooted instincts that are antagonistic and therefore repulsive to the European, and their presence among us is a living example of the insurmountable difficulties that exist in merging race characteristics, in making cats love dogs …

It is not agreeable to see civilization so under the ugly thumbs of its impure Jews who have all the money and the power and brains.

Thompson adds:

If Keynes was an intellectual hero of the Right, rather than the Left, do you think those quotes would be so little known?

Anti-Semitism used to be a property of the Right, yet it’s worth pointing out that today many of the intellectual heroes of the right are Jews, such as Milton Friedman, Leo Strauss, Irving Kristol, etc., or that anti-Semitism has become almost wholly the province of the Left today.

Perhaps a host of Jewish comedians could tour the country with the sole purpose of pushing "against those who are exhibiting behavior which is less than consistent with the values of this nation" and fight the Jewaphobia running rampant in leftist circles and particularly in the hallways where the nation's newspaper of record is published.

Imagine with me what the outcry would be if a conservative columnist was singing the praises of an economic policy put forth by someone who said the sort of things of Arabs that Keynes has said of Jews.

Do you think the only place you'd be reading about it is the blogosphere?

On a somewhat related note, the FBI recently published their crime statistics culled from the year 2010, and here are some interesting numbers related to hate crimes:

Hate crimes motivated by religious bias accounted for 1,409 offenses reported by law enforcement.  A breakdown of the bias motivation of religious-bias offenses showed:

• 65.4 percent were anti-Jewish.
• 13.2 percent were anti-Islamic.
• 9.5 percent were anti-other religion, i.e., those not specified.
• 4.3 percent were anti-Catholic.
• 3.8 percent were anti-multiple religions, group.
• 3.3 percent were anti-Protestant. 
• 0.5 percent were anti-Atheism/Agnosticism/etc.  (Based on Table 1.)

The bottom line is that Jews were subjected to 5 times the number of hate crimes of victimized Muslims... yet we're led to believe by some that Islamophobia is this creeping cancer spreading in America.

Right.

I'm sure the 922 Jewish hate crime victims in 2010 would agree.

Muslim assaults, rapes, “workplace violence” and dhimmitude

Happened upon these three separate but related stories today. See if you can detect a theme, a line of correlation. The how and why things escalate. How political correctness leads to innocents being preyed upon and ultimately death.

A gang of Muslim women who attacked a passer-by in a city centre walked free from court after a judge heard they were ‘not used to being drunk’ because of their religion.

The group – three sisters and a cousin – allegedly screamed ‘kill the white slag’ as they set upon Rhea Page as she waited for a taxi with her boyfriend.

Miss Page, 22, was left with a bald patch where her hair was pulled out in the attack and was left ‘black and blue’ after suffering a flurry of kicks to the head, back, arms and legs while motionless on the pavement.

Ambaro Maxamed, 24, students Ayan Maxamed, 28, and Hibo Maxamed, 24, and their 28-year-old cousin Ifrah Nur each admitted actual bodily harm, which carries a maximum sentence of five years’ imprisonment.

But Judge Robert Brown gave them suspended jail terms after hearing mitigation that as Muslims, the women were not used to being drunk. The Koran prohibits Muslims from consuming alcohol, although Islamic teachings permit its use for medicinal purposes.

Norway is suffering from an unprecedented wave of rapes that are largely being perpetrated by Muslim immigrants against local women, according to Yehuda Bello, an acclaimed Israeli blogger whose special interests include Norway.

Bello, who understands Norwegian and has Norwegian contacts, reports that from January to late October, 48 rapes were confirmed to have been carried out in Oslo alone, 45 of them by Muslims. In the first six months of 2011, 208 Norwegian women complained of rape and attempted rape in Oslo alone. In all of Norway, 929 rapes and attempted aggravated rapes were reported since the beginning of the year, he adds.

Bello notes that Norway is “the most advanced country in the world in granting rights to women.” However, he adds, the “politically correct rot” prevents the rape wave by Muslims from being reported. “They are called ‘non-western,’ ‘dark skinned,’ ‘Middle Eastern’ et cetera. After a police report in Oslo said that Muslims were raping Norwegian women out of a religious conviction that this was the proper thing to do, a stormy public debate erupted, reports Bello, and “the government ministers, most of them avowed anti-Semites, claimed that the report and its publication serve Israel and its policy of occupation.”

Norway’s justice minister defended the police report but also said that “Israel must be glad to hear about it.”

Sen. Susan Collins on Wednesday blasted the Defense Department for classifying the Fort Hood massacre as workplace violence and suggested political correctness is being placed above the security of the nation's Armed Forces at home.

During a joint session of the Senate and House Homeland Security Committee on Wednesday, the Maine Republican referenced a letter from the Defense Department depicting the Fort Hood shootings as workplace violence. She criticized the Obama administration for failing to identify the threat as radical Islam.

Thirteen people were killed and dozens more wounded at Fort Hood in 2009, and the number of alleged plots targeting the military has grown significantly since then. Lawmakers said there have been 33 plots against the U.S. military since Sept. 11, 2001, and 70 percent of those threats have been since mid-2009.

The chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, Connecticut independent Sen. Joe Lieberman, said the military has become a "direct target of violent Islamist extremism" within the United States.

"The stark reality is that the American service member is increasingly in the terrorists' scope and not just overseas in a traditional war setting," Lieberman told Fox News before the start of Wednesday's hearing.

Obama channels his inner Jeremiah Wright:

French President Nicolas Sarkozy reportedly told US President Barack Obama that he could not "stand" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and that he thinks the Israeli premier "is a liar." 

According to a Monday report in the French website "Arret sur Images," after facing reporters for a G20 press conference on Thursday, the two presidents retired to a private room, to further discuss the matters of the day. 

The conversation apparently began with President Obama criticizing Sarkozy for not having warned him that France would be voting in favor of the Palestinian membership bid in UNESCO despite Washington's strong objection to the move.

The conversation then drifted to Netanyahu, at which time Sarkozy declared: "I cannot stand him. He is a liar." According to the report, Obama replied: "You're fed up with him, but I have to deal with him every day!" 

The remark was naturally meant to be said in confidence, but the two leaders' microphones were accidently left on, making the would-be private comment embarrassingly public. 

The communication faux pas went unnoticed for several minutes, during which the conversation between the two heads of state – which quickly reverted to other matters – was all but open to members the press, who were still in possession of headsets provided by the Elysée for the sake of simultaneous translation during the G20 press conference. "

By the time the (media) services at the Elysée realize it, it was on for at least three minutes," one journalist told the website. Still, he said that reporters "did not have a chance to take advantage of this fluke." 

The surprising lack of coverage may be explained by a report alleging that journalists present at the event were requested to sign an agreement to keep mum on the embarrassing comments. A Reuters reporter was among the journalists present and can confirm the veracity of the comments. 

A member of the media confirmed Monday that "there were discussions between journalists and they agreed not to publish the comments due to the sensitivity of the issue."

I'm not sure which angle here is worse.  The notion of Obama colluding with Sarkozy to dis Netanyahu.  Or the media attempting to cover the whole thing up. 

It'd be great to catch Netanyahu's unguarded response.

So I thought I'd bring it to you:

"They talk to us about the Jewish state, but I respond to them with a final answer: We shall not recognize a Jewish state" 

But we should all recognize a Palestinian state.

News not fit for dissemination

Jews in Turkey singled out, shamed and intimidated:

Beyond downgrading diplomatic relations with Israel; beyond suspending military agreements; beyond threatening naval war; beyond threatening to foment an irredentist insurrection of Israeli Arabs; the Turks decided to terrorize Israeli tourists landing in Istanbul airport.

Forty Israeli passengers, mainly businessmen who had landed in Istanbul on a Turkish Airlines flight from Tel Aviv, were separated from the rest of the flight passengers. Their passports were confiscated.

They were placed in interrogation rooms and stripped down to their underwear. Their carry-on bags were checked. And then they were lined up against a wall, forbidden to sit down or use the washroom.

Passengers who contacted the Foreign Ministry said they felt frightened and intimidated.

The ordeal went on for 90 minutes, until Turkish authorities returned their Israeli passports and permitted them to pick up their suitcases and exit the airport.

What were the Turks trying to accomplish by terrifying the Israeli tourists? They didn't need to threaten trade ties. Their Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu already took care of that over the weekend.

The victimized Israelis said the Turkish airport authorities wouldn't even answer their questions. Any time we asked them a question, the tourists said, the Turks ignored us.

It was as if they weren't even there.

And that's the thing of it. The Turks didn't harass the Israeli tourists in order to send a message to Israel. They have nothing more to say to us. We are non-entities to them. We're only good for attacking.

No, Israel wasn't the target audience the Turks were playing to on Monday. Their target audience was the Islamic world generally and the Arab world specifically.

Note that the date on that piece is September 5th.  I'm sure you each have been exposed to this before and that this post is just a rehash.  I mean, harking back to the treatment Jews received during WWII is newsworthy isn't it?

That provocative statement coming from The PJ Tatler at PajamasMedia as he writes about the anti-circumcision campaign brochure being disseminated by some in San Francisco:

As you may have heard by now, San Francisco will be voting this November on whether or not to ban circumcision in the city.

Defenders of the measure say it’s all about “human rights” and “protecting babies” from unnecessary procedures.

But critics suspected there was something vaguely anti-Semitic about the whole proposal, since among Jews (and Muslims, as well) circumcising male babies is a religious duty, not just a mistaken medical procedure.

Ban proponents insisted their proposal had nothing to do with Jews — really, it’s all about the rights of children.

Well, any doubt that they were lying have now been dispelled, with the publication of new campaign literature for the upcoming circumcision ban. The campaign comic book, called “Foreskin Man,” after its baby-saving superhero, features a litany of evil Jews doing battle with blond Nordic saviors.

Hamas to Obama: Kiss my radical Islamic rear-end

Late last night, I covered Netanyahu's reaction to Obama's suggestion that Israel go back to pre-1967 borders.

Today, we find that Obama's outreach to Middle East peace isn't sitting well with those who might soon share power with the Palestinian Authority:

President Barack Obama's Mideast policy speech Thursday was a "total failure," Hamas said Thursday evening.

"The (Arab) nation does not need a lesson on democracy from Obama," said Hamas spokesman in the Gaza Strip, Sami Abu-Zuhri. "Rather, Obama is the one who needs the lesson given his absolute endorsement of Israel's crimes and his refusal to condemn Israel's occupation."

"We will not recognize the Israeli occupation under any circumstances," the Hamas spokesman said, while adding: "We object to intervention in our internal affairs."

Abu-Zuhri also urged the Palestinian Authority not to endorse the American president's speech. He stressed the need to coordinate Palestinian positions in the face of what he referred to as "American-Israeli arrogance."

Other Hamas sources said the president's speech was "deceptive."

Someone explain to me how in hell we can expect these bastards to come to the table and negotiate peace.

Or how Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas can forge an agreement with these cave dwellers in an attempt to unify the Palestinians.   Unbelievable. 

You have to be a utopian buffoon or a complete idiot to sit down with neanderthals and expect to seriously negotiate anything with them.

Or you're someone who's aligned yourself with those purposed in Israel's destruction and the only differentiator is that you're settling to destroy the Jews more slowly.
