Disclaimer: what I write here has not been "calibrated" for political correctness, but rather to speak truth as I know it.
Recently, I have read a number of discussions of the Kevin Jennings scandal. What I found interesting was that they all focused on the more narrow pedophilia angle, and largely brushed off the larger issue of the man's active promotion of the so-called "gay" movement and the furthering of its agendas in our public schools, and the broader harm deriving therefrom. It is sad commentary on our society that we have lost our collective spine in the face of a blatant attack on the fabric of our nation, by way of the "gay rights" gambit.
Let me explain.
The "gay rights" and "gay movement" agenda is dishonest.
The fundamental purpose of pushing "gay rights" on society at large is to promote the disruption and destruction of the American family unit.
Any permanent political takeover of this country requires that the stability of the family be undermined wherever possible, driving whatever wedges are available to push wives and husbands apart, splintering children away from parents, and making the concept of traditional "family" as irrelevant as possible. As long as conventional/traditional morality and values can be transmitted from one generation to the next via the family unit, the social breakdown required to make tyranny plausible will take too long to satisfy the patience of any aspiring tyrant.
The stability of any culture has always been reposed in the family. The hijacking of a culture requires the hijacking of the youth. Hijacking of the youth requires either accelerated cultural decay through dismantling the family or the direct application of force and intimidation to interpose indoctrination in place of the traditional transfer of cultural knowledge.
The "gay rights" approach is only one avenue pursued toward this end. The "free love" movement had this same vector. Sex education in schools is the governmental effort to achieve the same thing.
My insights into the gay movement and its strategies date back to the late eighties and early nineties, when I worked as one of a number of independent contractors for the NEA & NSEA (Nat'l Education Assn & Nevada State Education Assn) in Las Vegas. After months of being a commonplace "fixture" on their premises, I became, in effect, invisible. Conversations were held near me -- in the adjoining office, in the hallway, even in the office where I was working -- as though I were just another piece of furniture. I overheard discussions of how to present the gay agenda to parents, educators, legislators, and children. "In this setting, we promote the idea that being gay is a natural condition -- you know, it's not something that can be helped -- and over here, we will promote the idea that joining our movement is a liberating thing, and here's what we need to do to recruit more straights over to our side . . ."
Yes, intentional misrepresentation. I was treated to this data stream, in snippets and vignettes, over the course of some years. I watched and listened as people were hired in preference to others because they were known to be gay, watched as strategy was formulated to protect a teacher accused of misbehavior "because he's one of us," and so on. With the passage of nearly two decades, some of those anecdotes blur together. Others remain clear in form, if not in intricate detail. Like the week when preparations for a Gay Pride event (in Washington D.C.) were being made, openly in the office, and with the approval of supervisors, and with the evident indulgence and funding of the organization's executives (based only on what I overheard), resulting in a significant bloc of the office staff being "at large" (read: back East) for about a week. Remember, this is a group whose purported purpose was to represent the interests of its members, those members being educators. To what degree, I wonder, has this infiltration, by a group whose common theme is a sexual fetish, influenced the actions of these educators whose dues they collected and spent to advance the group's causes as well as those of the educators themselves. Like many, I suspect, I'm almost afraid to know.
You probably won't be surprised in the least to learn that neither entity, NEA or NSEA, as best I could tell, gave a rat's ass about what school children actually learned or how well the kids were actually doing in school. It was entirely about 1) politics, and 2) protecting their members. And, of course, the proper indoctrination of students into tolerance of, and sensitivity to, gay issues.
Until I worked with these people, I was pretty much "live and let live" about the whole gay scene. Not so afterwards. The organized promotion of "gay rights" and "gay community" as a "legitimate" cultural construct is a deliberate exercise in a disingenuous moral and cultural relativism ploy. While protesting that "we just want to be left alone to live our lives the way we want," the people whose tool this is work relentlessly to impose and enforce this horribly misnamed "lifestyle" on the youth as broadly as possible.
They demand tolerance, but they do not reciprocate. They demand the freedom to slander those outside their "culture" while actively working to muzzle any criticism of their validity, methods, and practices. Any disagreement is "hate" speech.
This is stuff I can't say in public. This is stuff I can't even say around many of my friends. This is stuff which, nonetheless, needs to be voiced.
Frankly, if it weren't for the incessant effort to encroach on my family, my culture, my freedoms and liberties, I wouldn't care tuppence whether two guys want to make out or whether two gals want to set up house together. You want to pervert the normal order of things for yourselves? Go ahead. Knock yourselves out. Just don't tell me I have to accept it as normal and embrace it as a valid social order. It isn't either of those. And don't make it a mandatory part of my kids' education.
Don't be taking your perverse jackhammer to the moral bedrock that is my family, or to the cultural bedrock that is this nation's family.
Lose the family, lose the nation.
Save the family, save the nation.
And, even though it be heresy, there you have it.

>>they all focused on the more narrow pedophilia angle>>
I think that is more correctly called "pederasty" than pedophilia. Pedophilia deals with children below the age of puberty. Pederasty refers to sexual activity by a pubescent (entering sexual maturity) and a sexually mature adult.
The reason for the discrimination is that pedophilia is unacceptable almost across the board. Pederasty is primarily a homosexual activity, so the term isn't used.
According to the lawyer who represented the sexually molested young men vs the Catholic church priest suits, about 80% of those cases were homosexually oriented pederasty cases - not pedophilia. Not that makes it "better", but it makes it different. The fact is that the newspapers reported it incorrectly - and I don't think it's because they know one word and don't know the other. They too are infested with gays and have an agenda, I believe.

Amen!! I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, (commonly known as the LDS church, or "The Mormons"), and i agree with you 100%. Homosexuality is a blatant perversion of what God intended to be a natural and beautiful thing- the emotional and physical bond of male and female as husband and wife. This is the primary component of the family, which is the most essential and sacred of any unit on earth. Family is the way we teach the morals and ethics to future generations that are necessary to live and prosper as a society. When the family goes down, America will go with it. You nailed this one right on the head.

Dad, I'm gay.

You're a coward, Bradshaw - one of the many character flaws in homosexuals. Extreme selfishness being one of the others, because you don't care who you hurt with the perverse things you do to your body and mind.
