>God uses active verbs in the instructions for worship – Sing, shout, proclaim, praise.

Why? Why does your god need praise? He makes universes what possible use would such a being have for your words and the emotions that drive them?

>They would return weeping tears of repentance and praying for the Lord's favor.

So your god will do nice things for people as long as they ask in a specific way?

Why doesn't he just do the nice things regardless of how people ask for them? Just for the sake of goodness? And wouldn't your god have already decided what to do? Being omniscient he would already know what he was going to do in any given situation rendering prayer request moot. That is whatever happens happens because he wants it to happen, our requests can't be a factor otherwise that means you can control your god and that doesn't make much sense.

Nick - thank you. That was encouraging.

Salvage, do you really want answers to your questions, or are you just kvetching?

salvage

I want answers, that's why I ask questions.

Nicks

They don't sound like questions looking for answers.

They sound like bait looking for an argument.

If you are seeking answers, I'll give you an email address and we can discuss it off line. In private, no copies, no forwards.

If you just want to argue in public, that could probably be accommodated also, but not today.

Nick
