Seals ordered to stand down during Bengazi attack

The official response to this so far has been by defense secretary Leon Panetta who declared that criticism of the state department and the pentagon response concerning the attack on our consulate in Bengazi Libya was just Monday morning quarterbacking.

Really? This is the official position of the Obama administration? The trail of evidence and the facts are disputing every claim that the Obama administration has made in defense of their failure to act in Bengazi. What more of a unconscionable response could there possibly be?

 

Fox News has learned from sources who were on the ground in Benghazi that an urgent request from the CIA annex for military back-up during the attack on the U.S. Consulate and subsequent attack several hours later was denied by U.S. officials -- who also told the CIA operators twice to "stand down" rather than help the ambassador's team when shots were heard at approximately 9:40 p.m. in Benghazi on Sept. 11.
Former Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods was part of a small team who was at the CIA annex about a mile from the U.S. Consulate where Ambassador Chris Stevens and his team came under attack. When he and others heard the shots fired, they informed their higher-ups at the annex to tell them what they were hearing and requested permission to go to the consulate and help out. They were told to "stand down," according to sources familiar with the exchange. Soon after, they were again told to "stand down."
Woods and at least two others ignored those orders and made their way to the Consulate which at that point was on fire. Shots were exchanged. The quick reaction force from the CIA annex evacuated those who remained at the Consulate and Sean Smith, who had been killed in the initial attack. They could not find the ambassador and returned to the CIA annex at about midnight.
At that point, they called again for military support and help because they were taking fire at the CIA safe house, or annex. The request was denied. There were no communications problems at the annex, according those present at the compound. The team was in constant radio contact with their headquarters. In fact, at least one member of the team was on the roof of the annex manning a heavy machine gun when mortars were fired at the CIA compound. The security officer had a laser on the target that was firing and repeatedly requested back-up support from a Specter gunship, which is commonly used by U.S. Special Operations forces to provide support to Special Operations teams on the ground involved in intense firefights. The fighting at the CIA annex went on for more than four hours -- enough time for any planes based in Sigonella Air base, just 480 miles away, to arrive. Fox News has also learned that two separate Tier One Special operations forces were told to wait, among them Delta Force operators.

I didn’t think I could get more upset about this whole fiasco.

I’m now at level - seething rage.

Somebody, everybody needs to pay dearly for this complete and utter failure to uphold their oaths of office.

Four Americans are dead, our consulate overrun and we get nothing but lies and obfuscation.

For what, for f*&king WHAT!?! To get reelected!?!

I have reached the point with Obama that nothing he does (or I really should say what he does NOT do) pisses me off any more.

What does piss me off is that so many Americans are still supporting him. That's what irks me. How stupid can these people be?

I really need to see, not just a Romney win, but a Romney landslide to restore my faith in my fellow Americans. But, I won't hold my breath.

Charles, I should probably say that I envy you and your numbness to this interloping imposter, but I can't.

Everything he does pisses me off and it pisses me off because I have known from day one what this man would do and he has proven me right on a daily basis for almost four years now.

Americans were dying in Bengazi and he knew it was a terrorist attack, he knew it was Muslims involved and he denied our people back up and support and he allowed them to be murdered?

Ask yourself why. The man is and always held allegiances to his roots and those are Islam.

This nation forced a president form office over some rather juvenile campaign tricks of old, yet we allow this interloping socialist to act in any fashion he chooses with impunity from the media?

There should be Americans crawling all over the white house with torches and pitch forks right now but they are not. And the really sad part is that they won't be. and the really scary part is that this
man may very well win re-election. It sickens me to know that he is referred to as mr. president.

One of the former SEALs was actively painting the target. That means that Specter WAS ON STATION! Probably an AC130U. A ground laser designator is not a briefing pointer laser. You do not "paint" a target until the weapons system/designator is synched; which means that the AC130 was on station.

Only two places could have called off the attack at that point; the WH situation command (based on POTUS direction) or AFRICOM commander based on information directly from the target area.

If the AC130 never left Sigonella (as Penetta says) that means that the Predator that was filming the whole thing was armed.

If that SEAL was actively "painting" a target; something was on station to engage! And the decision to stand down goes directly to POTUS!”

This is ONLY going to be the begining. If our so call goverment can order our military NOT TO FRIGHT when OUR people are under attack well just WHAT DO YOU THINK they can do next! Don't be suprised if the next time they just turn over OUT COUNTRY to the enemy!We need a goverment that will fright NOT trun tuck tail and RUN. GOD DAMN COWARDS.
