President Barack Obama has offered his take on the debate between Vice President Joe
Biden and Congressman Paul Ryan, saying "Joe just needs to be Joe."
Obama offered his remark to in an interview with ABC News on the eve of Thursday night's vice presidential debate.
Biden has been a controversial figure, occasionally prone to making rhetorical gaffes. Obama himself came under withering criticism for his lackluster performance in last week's debate against Republican challenger Mitt Romney.
The entire country saw Obama be Obama at the last debate. Now we're all hoping that Joe will indeed be Joe.
Both will lead to the hope and change we've been looking for over the last 4 years.
Judging from the bits that I saw, Joe was indeed being Joe. A pompous, grinning loudmouth. I can't imagine he made himself or the Obama/Biden ticket more appealing to independents through that performance; he came across as arrogant and rather mean (particularly by repeatedly interrupting Ryan).
