So there's a new book about Obama out and it's quite revealing... but will America care?
The website BuzzFeed obtained a copy of the book, “Barack Obama: The Story” by David Maraniss, and excerpted the parts about Obama’s pothead youth.
Among the highlights:
— Obama was known for his interceptions. This is the act of joining a circle of people passing around a joint, taking a hit and yelling, “Intercepted!”
— Obama and his friends at the Punahou School in Hawaii called themselves the “Choom Gang” — choom means smoking weed — and drove around in a Volkswagen bus called the “Choomwagon.”
— Obama and his crew enjoyed what they called “roof hits,” smoking pot inside a car with all the windows rolled up to maximize the amount of smoke they inhaled.
I don't know at this point if the book details Obama's exposure to cocaine in high school, something he also confessed to in his book Dreams of My Father and certainly, much of this needs to be dismissed as nothing more than youthful indiscretions and poor choices or, to quote the President out of context, it's all about acting stupidly.
What this does seem to point to however is that this time, unlike the last, Obama is getting vetted.
I think it a good thing.
If there's anyone in need of vetting, it's Barack Hussein Obama.
Let's get past the drug use and let's get into what it is that shaped the man's thinking. That's what needs to be vetted. It will explain much.
