Yesterday was harrowing and stressful but that day is behind us.
Today she's home, resting and doing remarkably well, so well in fact that she wanted to take a stroll about a block to and fro not 36 hours after surgery.
She's a prairie woman through and through.
Her lymph nodes were, preliminarily, cancer free. A wonderful thing to hear come out of the surgeon's mouth in his post surgical talk with all of us. I could literally feel the stress lift as the words left his lips. We'll know more definitively Tuesday when the lab returns the final report but we're trusting that the early report is the right report.
The road ahead of us is still long, we suspect there'll be days when we won't feel as elated as we do at this moment but with God's help, we'll get through them.
And speaking of God. So many of you have told us of your thoughts and prayers. We are grateful though I don't think that conveys adequately how grateful we truly are. Just know that your prayers have lifted us. I mean that. So please continue them.
God is indeed good... but you wise people know this already.
The pics I've included of my lovely bride, purposed in sharing just a little of her infectious smile and her incredible strength, are of her just before going back to surgery, and one of her walking in the neighborhood not 36 hours after.
She's a special lady. No, really, she is.

An uncommon...no....extraordinary woman. God is, indeed, so very good. Felt good to send a message to our church secretary with a praise report. May the blessings of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit be with you now and always.

Praise the Lord! God is good.
Praying this is the beginning of a continued string of blessings and may he continue to fill you with peace and trust, in Christ's name.

Rick, I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were going through this, I haven't been on the blog in a while but I'm delighted to hear the surgery went well.
