Nice!

Enh.

When Charles Johnson came after us repeatedly with malicious attacks re our integrity, we wrote to The Bigs requesting that they read our defense since our reputation was being impugned. We never got a response & no longer received referrals, except for Michelle Malkin, bless her. Otherwise, birds chirped in the resounding silence.

Only when Charles attacked each of them in turn did they become indignant, responding to his rantings. Only when their own integrity was called into question did they suddenly become indignant enough to question his sanity. Thus did I sadly learn what I’d rather have not known: The Blogosphere Bigs are no different than the MSM. I could’ve lived without knowing that.

If it’s to criticize my work, I’d rather not have an Instalanche. It isn’t true that negative attention is better than no attention at all. I only like that kind when I know my work is making a difference. For example, the attacks on us by the Norwegian MSM...We know they’re uneasy when they spotlight us as “racist (yawn) xenophobes”. No links, either. But out of the 25,000 hits in one day, we won many hundreds of new readers.

Lots of them wrote gratefully to us, blessing us for telling the truth about their sovietized country. Others wrote ramblinlg, vicious stuff. Worse than our own lefties by a long shot.

Caroline Glick referred to Norway as a totalitarian democracy. I’d never heard the term before but it is utterly apt in the sad case of that country's treatment of dissent. We also gained many ex-pat readers who send us translations of stories there.

BTW, an Instalanche would be lost in a real avalanche from the fjords. I was worried we'd lose our sitemeter account. Meanwhile, I'm waiting to see if the country blocks access to these Ugly Americans who talk about the number of rapes in Oslo, or the Jews fleeing Norway, afraid for their own safety. Soon Norway will be Judenrein...again.
