We're supposed to believe that Albemarle County third graders wrote the following song... really:
Some people have it all
But they still don’t think they have enough
They want more money
A faster ride
They’re not content
Never satisfied
Yes—they’re the 1 percentI used to be one of the 1 percent
I worked all the time
Never saw my family
Couldn’t make life rhyme
Then the bubble burst
It really, really hurt
I lost my money
Lost my pride
Lost my home
Now I’m part of the 99Some people have it all
But they still don’t think they have enough
They want more money
A faster ride
They’re not content
Never satisfied
Yes—they’re the 1 percentI used to be sad, now I’m satisfied
’Cause I really have enough
Though I lost my yacht and plane
Didn’t need that extra stuff
Could have been much worse
You don’t need to be first
’Cause I’ve got my friends
Here by my side
Don’t need it all
I’m so happy to be part of the 99
Bovine. Fecal. Matter.
There's no way an 8 year old writes that kind of crap. The school system is insisting that they did.
Liars.
Hot Air has much more to include who might just be on the prime suspect list for filling young minds full of mush.

"Because you didn't serve the Lord your God with joy and a cheerful heart, even though [you had] an abundance of everything, you will serve your enemies the Lord will send against you..."
(Deuteronomy 28:47-48 HCSB)
Those were words spoken to the nation, Israel, not to 1% of the nation. And ... we as a nation have enjoyed far greater luxury than that Israel could have dreamed or imagined ... not just 1% of our nation.

Agreed. However, the sentiment of the song is preposterous as well. Those who would sing such a song also are not satisfied with what they have. They desire more. They desire to have that which they have not earned for themselves.... they desire not the fruits of their own labor, but yours. If they desire more, want more, need more, not "satisfied", then why do they expect that others would be with what they have at this time? It's only a matter of degree. As the character Sheldon Cooper would say, to paraphrase: I need to have a means of consuming food, evacuating same and breathing air. All else is want.

You called it, this is BS, and it's even more vile that these children are being indoctrinated like this.
