It's really difficult for progressives to honor/respect our military... if not impossible.
And for those who have never served in combat, they can of course never really understand that weathered warrior's heart... but that's why the warrior fights... so they don't have to... so it's OK.
As in this song... the simple "thank you" is quite enough... then folks need to get off their A$$es and go elect politicians that have some respect for our soldiers as well.
Anything else is cheap lip service... using our warriors like whores... and believe me... they know it.
