“If we move from that location, the story will be the radicals have taken over the discourse, the headlines in the Muslim world will be that Islam is under attack. Our national security now hinges on how we negotiate this, how we speak about it. The battlefront is between moderates of all sides… and the radicals on all sides,” he said.

Moving the project to another location would strengthen Islamist radicals’ ability to recruit followers and will likely increase violence against Americans, the imam said.

An there we have it, straight form the mouth of the under funded, non building owning, “moderate” imam.

If you don’t allow us to build a mosque at the site of the greatest defeat at the hands of islamists this country as ever experienced, the islamists will be REALLY mad and they will REALLY start to attack us. Compared to the reindeer games they’ve been playing.

What he doesn’t say is that the mosque, if built, will be the greatest symbol of islam versus the infidels the world has ever seen.

Also, notice how he tries the tired, old ‘muslim as victims’ talking point that tries to paint those that oppose the mosque as “radicals”. As if speaking up, excursing our 1st amendment rights, is the same as decapitation, suicide bombing, blowing up buildings, flying planes into buildings or overall slaughtering anyone and everyone who they deem as unworthy to breath.

But he’s right, because in the lands that the imam frequents, that he solicits funding from,that islam dominates, where sharia law is enforced, we would be indeed be radicals for speaking our minds. Since there is no freedom of speech in predominately muslim countries. And most importantly, there are no churches built.

But the more this plays out, the more I’m glad this phony as started this whole episode. He has awoken many folks, he has placed the subject of islam back where it needs to be - on the lips of Americans. This charlatan underestimated the underlying suspicion and uneasiness that thinking people have with the cult of death that islam is.

Keep it up imam, please keep it up. You have done more for “our” side than we been trying for nine years, or longer. Thank you.
