Neal Boortz pulls no punches on President Obama’s “full scale attack on the economy”:

President ME has called for a "full-scale attack." Yeah ... aren't you just oh so excited! Obama finally gets it and he's going to launch a full scale attack to get our economy growing again?

Sorry ... but I'm really getting sick of this nonsense and the narcissistic boob that's spouting this crap from the Rose Garden. That's right .. notify the Soros myrmidons at Media Matters. I just referred to Obama the Obtuse as a "narcissistic boob." I've had it. I'm fed up. I still have enormous respect for the office of the presidency .. but absolutely none - not one stitch - for the self-involved incompetent and corrupt person who holds that office now ... courtesy of millions of voters who glom on to mindless slogans and a Republican Party that complete squandered a mandate.

Actually ... that "Obama the Obtuse" line, though it sounds clever, isn't quite right. Obama isn't obtuse .. at least now as I understand the word. "Obtuse" means "difficult to understand;" and there is nothing difficult to understand about Obama. He said five days before his coronation that he was going to "fundamentally transform the United States of America," and he meant it. He had every intention of transforming the United States from a nation where people seek self reliance to a nation where the masses seek government-provided security; From a nation with a dynamic free market economy to a clone of the European-Socialist welfare state; from a nation where the majority worship God to a nation where the people worship, as Obama does, the God of Government.

Oh yeah .. Obama is going to launch his "full-scale attack" to get the economy back on its feet. Don't the dumb masses understand that Obama launched his attack 19 months ago?

Obama says that his administration is "hard at work" looking for new ways to promote economic growth. Sure he is. Any work he's doing to find a way to promote economic growth pales to the effort he puts in every day of his life to promote government growth.

Gibbs does the "Don't give Bush credit on Iraq" two-step

This is damn near embarrassing:

Obama will apparently take credit for withdrawing U.S. troops -- "We are completing a drawdown of almost 100,000 troops that…many did not think was possible," Gibbs said -- but is unlikely to acknowledge any special role played by George W. Bush's troop surge. Gibbs said Obama plans to call Bush before the speech, but through repeated questioning would not admit that the surge played any especially important role in the war's progress.

"Does he believe that President Bush deserves any credit for the surge, laying the groundwork for troop withdrawal?" a reporter asked Gibbs.

"I'd point you to the many comments that the president has made throughout a number of years about the role that increasing the number of our troops has played, just as a Sunni Awakening has played, just as a better political environment has played," Gibbs said. "I think that the president will get a chance to talk about a lot of that."

Later, another reporter tried again. "Does the president believe the surge worked?"

"The president always believed that you would change part of the security situation by vastly increasing the number of troops," Gibbs said. "But again I think it was important -- and the president was criticized for this throughout the campaign -- and that is saying that we were not going to accomplish all of what needed to be done in Iraq simply militarily, that there had to be a political accommodation. We understand, again, that if you look at what happened with the Sunni Awakening, there were a whole host of factors that led us to a point in which the president can make good on his commitment to take almost 100,000 combat troops out of Iraq, to fundamentally change our mission in Iraq, to put the Iraqis in the lead for not just their security but their politics and their future. And I think that's what’s ultimately tremendously important."

Later, another question: "Why not give President Bush credit for ordering the surge?"

"Again…I'd be happy to circulate the president’s comments that go back to 2007 and go back to 2008 on this," Gibbs said.

The piece does not end well for Obama.

"Or maybe CBS is just disreputable"

I received an email from Tom Graffagnino commenting on CBS' ludicrous report claiming 87,000 people had attended Glenn Beck's rally in DC on Saturday.  It was priceless:

-Maybe CBS's crew meant the number of buses that arrived....(maybe just a "clerical" error).
-Or maybe they meant the number of people just on the stage....
-Or maybe they just figured that most of the crowd was the awesome "spill-over" from Sharpton's speech.
-Or maybe they just assumed that each attendee brought six life-size cardboard cut-out replicas of him/herself to the event.
-Or maybe they got the 87,000 number confused with the latest TV rating report (ie.,their  total weekly viewers)

-Or maybe CBS is simply disreputable.

(I wonder which one it is?)

You would think that the CBS news clowns would have figured out by now that they have reached "Gong Show" status in the eyes of the public and that it's time to pull the plug on their wearisome schtick....After awhile, it just gets old.

Even NBC estimated the crowd at 300,000, so you know it had to have been at least half a million.

CBS... consider yourselves skewered.

“The IPCC’s credibility has been deeply dented...”

Scientific consensus reached... IPCC is fraudulent:

A high-level inquiry into the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change found there was “little evidence” for its claims about global warming.

It also said the panel had emphasised the negative impacts of climate change and made “substantive findings” based on little proof.

The review by the InterAcademy Council (IAC) was launched after the IPCC’s hugely embarrassing 2007 benchmark climate change report, which contained exaggerated and false claims that Himalayan glaciers could melt by 2035.

The panel was forced to admit its key claim in support of global warming was lifted from a 1999 magazine article. The report was based on an interview with a little-known Indian scientist who has since said his views were “speculation” and not backed by research.

Independent climate scientist Peter Taylor said last night: “The IPCC’s credibility has been deeply dented and something has to be done. It can’t just be a matter of adjusting the practices. They have got to look at what are the consequences of having got it wrong in terms of what the public think is going on. Admitting that it needs to reform means something has gone wrong and they really do need to look at the science.”

Climate change sceptic David Holland, who challenged leading climate change scientists at the University of East Anglia to disclose their research, said: “The panel is definitely not fit for purpose. What the IAC has said is substantial changes need to be made.”

Two extremist Catholics detained in Netherlands

I'm sure they were probably listeners of conservative talk radio and likely Tea Party members:

Two men taken off a Chicago-to-Amsterdam United Airlines flight in the Netherlands have been charged by Dutch police with "preparation of a terrorist attack," U.S. law enforcement officials tell ABC News.

U.S. officials said the two appeared to be travelling with what were termed "mock bombs" in their luggage. "This was almost certainly a dry run, a test," said one senior law enforcement official.

A spokesman for the Dutch public prosecutor, Ernst Koelman, confirmed the two men were arrested this morning and said "the investigation is ongoing." He said the arrests were made "at the request of American authorities."

The two were allowed to board the flight at O'Hare airport last night despite security concerns surrounding one of them, the officials said.

The men were identified as Ahmed Mohamed Nasser al Soofi, of Detroit, MI, and Hezem al Murisi, the officials said. A neighbor of al Soofi told ABC News he is from Yemen.

In addition, officials said, al Soofi was found to be carrying $7,000 in cash and a check of his luggage found a cell phone taped to a Pepto-Bismol bottle, three cell phones taped together, several watches taped together, a box cutter and three large knives. Officials said there was no indication of explosives and he and his luggage were cleared for the flight from Birmingham to Chicago O'Hare.  

Ahmed Mohamed and Hezem al Murisi...  hmmm... I might be a little off on the whole Catholic thing...  They're probably Mormons... and I'm sure they attended the Beck rally this weekend plotting evil...

We should investigate the funding sources of anyone who thinks differently.

This just in! "War is cheaper than economic recovery!"

This just in! News Flash! The Congressional Budget office has determined that the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan over the last seven years have cost less than Barack Obama's stimulus plan of 2009. The same stimulus plan that hasn't worked, doesn't work and (by the way) won't work.

Must be Bush's fault........

Eight Years of Iraq War Cost Less Than Stimulus Act

As President Obama prepares to tie a bow on U.S. combat operations in Iraq, Congressional Budget Office numbers show that the total cost of the eight-year war was less than the stimulus bill passed by the Democratic-led Congress in 2009.

According to CBO numbers in its Budget and Economic Outlook published this month, the cost of Operation Iraqi Freedom was $709 billion for military and related activities, including training of Iraqi forces and diplomatic operations.

The projected cost of the stimulus, which passed in February 2009, and is expected to have a shelf life of two years, was $862 billion. 

The U.S. deficit for fiscal year 2010 is expected to be $1.3 trillion, according to CBO. That compares to a 2007 deficit of $160.7 billion and a 2008 deficit of $458.6 billion, according to data provided by the U.S. Office of Management and Budget.

The incompetence reaches new highs (or would that be lows?):

During a hastily-called Rose Garden event during which the sound system failed him, President Obama attempted today to communicate to the American public that his administration remains on top of the economic crisis.

...

The event in some ways could be seen as a metaphor for the administration’s flailing on the economy. Originally no remarks were scheduled, then on Sunday evening, the White House announced the president would make remarks in the Oval Office after his economic daily briefing.

Then on Monday that was upgraded to remarks by the president at 12:30 p.m. ET in the Rose Garden after his briefing, signifying a more formal event.

Then those remarks were pushed to 1 p.m.

Finally the president approached the lectern at 1:20 p.m.

Only five sentences into his remarks, the P.A. system fizzled.

“What we did know was that it took nearly a decade -- what we did -- how are we doing on sound, guys?” the president asked

“Is it still going to the press?” he asked, checking to make sure even if he couldn’t be heard clearly in the Rose Garden, broadcast networks were getting clean sound, which they were.

“OK,” the president said.

A plane flew nearby, drowning out his voice.

“What we did know was that it was going to take nearly a decade in order for -- can you guys still hear us?”

Reporters nodded.
  
“OK,” he continued, “let me try this one more time.”

Here's the gist of the message they had problems getting out.

We blame Bush.
