If the simple message "children are a gift" strikes one as an outrage, then it is time for a long look in the mirror...

Pressuring someone to have an abortion is wrong. I'm saying this as one who is pro-choice (yeah yeah, I'm a monster and a murderer, I've heard it all before). But what's worse than that is encouraging people to have children they can't love and raise propery. When a child is born into a family that can't care for him emotionally or financially, it's a tragedy for him and for society at large. Most violent crimes and theft are committed by people who were born into impoverished homes headed by young, uneducated parents. It's irresponsible to run ads telling people that having a child will always end happily. Sometimes it does. Other times, it just results in a lifetime of abuse, neglect, drugs, revolving-door child protective services, and poverty. Anyone who opposes abortion should be the first to step forward and say that they're willing to clean up the mess left by negligent parents.

So the answer to the sad fact that ill-prepared "adults" find themselves preggers is to KILL the unborn child Cathy?! Better never to have been born at all, right? Cuz otherwise, the poor child might have a horrid childhood, full of neglect, abuse etc. And everyone KNOWS that those kids NEVER turn out ok..nothing good EVER comes out of those situations, right?
