And in related news, Army Major Malik Nadal Hasan is the Fort Hood shooter, terrorism is not suspected:
Details about Major Malik Nadal Hasan are sketchy. Information coming in from various media sources are simply conjecture. However, military analysts seem to believe that Hasan would, due to his rank, have had to have been deployed either to Iraq or Afghanistan in the recent past.
Major Malik Nadal Hasan opened fire on other soldiers at the Fort Hood Soldier Readiness Facility, where soldiers who are preparing to deploy go for last minute checkups and preparation. The facility is 117,000 sq. ft. in size, which so Hasan had a great deal of space to operate in, perhaps explaining the large number of those killed or wounded before he was himself killed.
I watched Shephard Smith on Fox News make an absolute ass out of himself as he and his assignment manager refused to name the suspect, saying Fox News was exercising caution, this despite the name being released by countless other sources... the same Fox News that named the suspect not 3 minutes after Smith's on-air stint ended.
Incredibly idiotic on Smith's part.
God be with the injured, the families of those killed and with those now charged with responding to all of this.

What bothered me was that while Shep was not releasing the name of the shooter, he said something along the lines of the name told us an awful lot. Quite obviously, it was an Arabic name, or why mention it?

Saw Shep yesterday too, freakin' horrible.
Same thought as Anne, preety obvious.
Plus, Shep, or no one later that I saw, mentioned any possibility of this being terrorism. Really!?! Ya' can't even broach the possibilty!?!
How can we defeat our enemies if we don't even ATTEMPT to know who the f*#k they are!
We're at war with Muslims, period. Maybe not all of them but we are. Somebody, anybody prove me wrong.
