Via Matteo:
Made all the more poignant by her focus, in the aftermath of Fort Hood, while in the United Arab Emirates:
The killing of 13 people by a Muslim psychiatrist at an American army base must not lead to the victimisation of Muslim Americans, the US secretary of homeland security has said.
On a visit to the capital, Janet Napolitano said grassroots efforts were vital to preserving relations between Muslim Americans and the wider community after Friday’s shootings at Fort Hood in Texas.“We object to, and do not believe, that anti-Muslim sentiment should emanate from this,” she said. “This was an individual who does not represent the Muslim faith.”
Describing the killings as “a terrible tragedy”, Ms Napolitano said a civil rights and civil liberties directorate in her department aimed to “prevent everybody being painted with a broad brush”.
“That work is ongoing and is part and parcel of how we view security,” she said. “One of the things we’ll do is make sure that we’re reaching out to the state and local authorities within the US, because they often have better outreach to members of the Muslim community than we do.” Ms Napolitano was speaking to female students at Zayed University, and took part in a private question-and-answer session with them. She said her visit to the UAE was part of the “outreach” programme to the Muslim community by the US administration, one that included the June speech in Cairo by the US president, Barack Obama.
One would think that the Secretary of Homeland Defense would be in the homeland working to defend Americans from radical Muslims who represent, quite obviously, a clear and present danger... instead, she's abroad and defending Muslims from radical Americans, a clear and present manufactured danger.
But this is the Obama Administration. What in hell should we expect.
Oh yea.
Hope and change.

“This was an individual who does not represent the Muslim faith.”
Nor the other 14, 359 attacks since 9/11 by…Muslims.

Somebody needs to tell the…Muslims who don’t “represent the Muslim faith” to quit it. Because the…Muslims,…, along with and their Imams…and fellow Muslims…and the Koran…, who keep killing people keep telling us all that they are indeed representing “the Muslim faith”.
Islam: The religion of pieces of dead bodies.
But I’m sure other religions have just as many people going around killing people…I mean, anybody could easily prove me wrong…
I'll wait...

I do not despair for life's end, and it may be that you are talking about me and my mother, that I cannot be for sure for there are miscommunications everywhere. Our privacy in this war has been hampered, we feel like it is not for our difficult secrets be put out on a platter to be eaten and criticized by all.
My despair is for the now, the hurting, not that they die but that we are bread with the will, the Spirit of a Living God to fight dying for we are given these bodies, the houses to live in and it was made by the almighty made to sustain from years on end. To talk so merely about an art the creator himself gave to be appreciated, yet we have a society that would merely stuff it to death carelessly to cause suffering. Then talk about how the body is just non-important at all.
What makes dreams or nightmares are the same that makes wonder or sorrows so what was our maker getting at? If we were ment to feel pain, it meant we had a choice not to feel agonizing unjustice. Or switch to the opposite mentality. Do we want death, pain or sorrow and have no hope for the marrow or sustain ourselves not with pills, lack of movement but the opposite that generates smiles.
If we move we are alive, if we feel pain we know there is a path to improvement. Pain is a lesson that says learn me, earn me, it does not have to be the end. Pain says, "figure me out", find enjoyment for you were happy once.
So is it the yellow brick road we are seeking or a deathly forest of fear, death and forgottennes? What is your end, where will your journey begin, will it be now or when it is worse, the fast food or the smart food. How are you going to live in your shack or temple? Are you going to make a rich life out of the out doors or continue in your painful complaints and criticism, be happy for those who are getting it to winning health and learn from them or discourage them from trying.
What kind of helping hand have you been...I am a faucet but it gets shut off at times as as not to waste my energy. Lately, it runs and nobody cares where it is pouring.
Think about me, it! Flashlightdorie, the rollerskater, the one who survives pain. Think about living for yourself for a change and stop making elderly years the end. Decide to live and trying to talk others into quitting. They may just very well have quit on you. They have on me but somewhere I keep finding that people want me to be Newton's Apple. And, yet being eaton is an end..so maybe we are not apples but already spirits with mortal bodies for now.
There is a mission and if I can keep my witts, staying tuned to it is the only thing that gives life to those I happen to be around. So what if family is about gone, done with me, or not knowing how to react. I've been there for them when I could, that is all a body can do. Things are helpful but they do not breath for us, they can just signal we are so we could be chased as though we did something wrong.
No, living, loving, is all that is left. Enjoying and improving, organizing and sifting the rubble is our only jobs of time. Live free and do not hinder.
