Sick! I even went and got myself a drink and it turns out the video can't be viewed in Canada...copyright restrictions.

While Penn makes an excellent point, to appear on TV shows he doesn't necessarily agree with, but it probably went right over Smothers pointy little head.

What do you think Mr. Jillette learned? It is obvious he is struggling with something, but where did he come down? Did he change his mind about anything? About Smothers?

Now, if he had said, "Of course, Hitler would NEVER let me speak my 'truth'." Then perhaps we could say he learned something... that freedom of speech is a 'conservative' value.

I hope he did learn something. The opportunity is certainly there. I just think it may be wishful thinking to say he actually learned it.
