Robert of Work in Progress is upset about what he sees too frequently at Starbucks:
Imagine the following scene: You are in line at Starbucks, the person ahead of you orders a "Tall coffee in Grande cup". (medium coffee in a large cup)
This person may like a lot of milk in their coffee so they request a large cup but it only gets filled 3/4 of the way with coffee and they proceed to fill the cup the rest of the way with milk, as if the milk is free. The milk is not free, folks. It's included in the price of the coffee, along with the sugar, the stir stix, the lid, the seating, etc. If you want a large coffee with a lot of milk, you should pay for a large coffee with a lot of milk. Not order a medium coffee and add a couple of udders worth of milk. If you don't think the milk carries any cost, try walking in and ordering a free cup of milk. See how far that gets you. Or walk in and ask for a pound of sugar to go.
This happens every single day. Probably tens of thousands of times a day, in fact, at coffee shops around the world. Never fails to piss me [off] and I make a point of giving the thief a good, long stare that tells them I'm onto them. One of these days, I'm going to make a citizen's arrest. People at SB are too nice to say anything but you know they're thinking Hey! How 'bout paying for that Grande if that's what you wants?"! (I'm not sure why they would be thinking in an ethnic manner but whatever, that's the way I imagined it)
So, milk thief, consider yourself forewarned and watch your ass because one of these days, your luck is gonna run out...
That from a kool-aid drinking Obama supporter (and Republican hater) who thinks ObamaCare, with all its waste and potential for fraud, needs to pass and needs to pass now, who hasn't said a word yet as to the millions of dollars that have been funneled by Democrats to the fraudulent and corrupt ACORN organization, nor a word about the Congressional earmarks and wasteful spending already passed and soon to be passed if his ideological cohorts get their way and who has wholeheartedly endorsed and continues to support a President who has appointed every kind of tax cheat, crook and crony.
Ya gotta love moonbats who look the other way at the cheating and fraud engaged by leftist comrades but are enraged at those who would dare steal from Starbucks by buying tall coffees in a grande cup.
Freakingly and amazingly stupid.

Thanks for including the closing commentary. For a moment there I was beginning to wonder.
If these panty waste wankers don't like the other customers at their favorite chic coffee shop having their coffee as they like it?
Let them go home and drink some of that brew that is made from the droppings of civets.
Sounds about right for these lemmings don't it.
Our local Starbucks has been closed for a week now, as a result of the floods and a compromised county water system. (boil water advisory)
And the funny thing? The local gas stations and convenience stores? They are using bottled water to service their customers and make their plain old coffee.
Meanwhile these elitist tofu eating civit suckers pay through the nose for tap water at Starbucks. And when Starbucks can't get their tap water? You can bet your backside they aren't going to invest in their customer base by bringing in bottled spring water at a little extra cost.
For the record....I don't drink Starbucks. There is just something about paying $4 for a cup of coffee that isn't American IMO.

I've never seen the grande-cup milk thief deal go down when I've been at Starbucks, but I'm imagining that since Starbucks doesn't lower the price for all those coffee drinkers who take it black, then things must even out pretty well for them. It's the ultimate socialist utopia, no? The black-coffee drinkers pay more to subsidize the cream-coffee drinkers' habits. It sort of makes us one big global community. Or globular, since we're talking about cream. :)

I confess that I use the milk gambit to turn my double espresso into a lukewarm latte for about half the price.
It's a small thing and I am deeply ashamed.

I sense some racist tendencies in this confession Gerard…

Ah, the witchsniffers are out today.
Please update your spell check to reflect the Stacy McCain maxim, "There are 5 a's in raaaaacism."

People stealing milk from Starbucks! What is this world coming to! Oh, this is the end!
This is a true crisis. Muzlims on the Mall pales in comparison to this. Obama's speach in the UN is minor in contrast.
And all of it being done by true Blue Leftists, no less! Who would have thought that America would have come down to this?

Maybe the "milk thief" has tried without success to get enough room to add enough milk or water to mask the taste of that burnt, overpriced, Starbucks coffee. I might try this the next time I'm in a Starbucks - not that it happens often.

Blech, spit spit spit!
Starbucks! Worst. Coffee. Ever.
Burnt, stuck in elephant dung, dug up, burnt again, brewed and burnt again.
Most gas stations have better coffee. Dunkin' Donuts has better coffee. Most street vendors in Manhattan have better coffee.
