"Obama votes present" on pirates issue

That's how Limbaugh described it today on his show.  Here's Reuters' report on it:

U.S. President Barack Obama declined to answer reporters' questions on Thursday on a hostage crisis off the coast of Somalia, where a U.S. ship captain is being held captive by pirates.

Obama was asked to comment on the situation several times by reporters at a White House event on refinancing for homeowners. Obama, however, stuck closely to the script and replied that he wanted to remain focused on housing.

An amazing thing.  An American ship is temporarily hijacked, with 20 Americans aboard, and with the Captain still being held by a bunch of thugs, and the President of the United States declines to comment because he's focused on housing!?

We've elected a joke folks... but because he can read off a teleprompter well, because he walks with a hip hop jaunt, because he's smooth and can fill out his NCAA college hoops brackets live on ESPN, all is well with the majority of Americans.

We are so screwed.

Well, he probably doesn’t think this is that big a deal, that we deserve this because we’re arrogant, have failed to listen and have for too long dictated to the world rather than take into account what is better for the world community.

I have seen very little form him that would lead me think that he actually puts this country’s interests first. He just came back from apologizing to the world for virtually everything we’ve ever done so we shouldn’t expect a reasonable response from such a man.

We’re dealing with someone who views things completely different and contradictory to what we consider “American”. He’s a citizen of the world, have you not heard?

Interestingly, isn’t his father from that neck of the woods?
