I find this to be about the final straw:
In a letter from the Justice Department to a federal judge yesterday, the Obama administration announced that the Pentagon would turn over to the American Civil Liberties Union 44 photographs showing detainee abuse of prisoners in Afghanistan and Iraq during the Bush administration.
The photographs are part of a 2003 Freedom of Information Act request by the ACLU for all information relating to the treatment of detainees -- the same battle that led, last week, to President Obama's decision to release memos from the Bush Justice Department's Office of Legal Counsel providing legal justifications for harsh interrogation methods that human rights groups call torture.
Courts had ruled against the Bush administration's attempts to keep the photographs from public view. ACLU attorney Amrit Singh tells ABC News that "the fact that the Obama administration opted not to seek further review is a sign that it is committed to more transparency."
Singh added that the photographs "only underscore the need for a criminal investigation and prosecution if warranted" of U.S. officials responsible for the harsh treatment of detainees.
But some experts say the move could have a chilling effect on the CIA even beyond President Obama's decision last week to release the so-called "torture memos."
Calling the ACLU push to release the photographs "prurient" and "reprehensible," Dr. Mark M. Lowenthal, former Assistant Director of Central Intelligence for Analysis and Production, tells ABC News that the Obama administration should have taken the case all the way to the Supreme Court.
"They should have fought it all the way; if they lost, they lost," Lowenthal said. "There's nothing to be gained from it. There's no substantive reason why those photos have to be released."
Lowenthal said the president's moves in the last week have left many in the CIA dispirited, based on "the undercurrent I've been getting from colleagues still in the building, or colleagues who have left not that long ago."
"We ask these people to do extremely dangerous things, things they've been ordered to do by legal authorities, with the understanding that they will get top cover if something goes wrong," Lowenthal says. "They don't believe they have that cover anymore." Releasing the photographs "will make it much worse," he said.
For an administration usually focused on doing what they can not to inflame jihadists, an administration that blamed the previous one for doing exactly that too often, they don't seem to give a rat's patoot now in their ideologically driven mission to impugn and indict the Bush administration.
We are continuing on a path that will lead to a terrorist attack but hey, who gives a sh*t... this is now all about going after Bush and his cronies... at all costs.
Including American lives.

If these pics are shown, then let’s also show the pics of the dead Beirut Marines, the dead Sailors from the USS Cole, the corps’ that leaped from the WTC, the decapitation videos of Nick Berg and others…
By all means let’s show it ALL, I’m confident which would disgust the majority of the American public more.

Here we are trying to establish whether the man in the office of the president is really eligible, with lawsuits having been submitted in dozens of states and him covering his butt with a million+ in lawyer fees trying to prevent it... for some unknown reason-duh...and he's going after the previous administration for something Congress (the same bunch thats pushing for this witch hunt)signed off on and witnessed and encouraged and had oversight on...releasing intelligence to the enemy...pictures and all to appease his lap dogs who are all freaking idiots!
Has he given any thought at all, now that he's loosed this...that the table turns both ways? He's gone to extreme lengths (and continues to have that need because the inquires aren't going away) to cover himself before he even started in the WH. I'm trying to be patient knowing God always has the last laugh.
Habakkuk 1:2-5
O' Lord, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save! Why doest thou shew me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me and there are that raise up strife and contention. Therefore the law is slacked and judgement doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous therefore wrong judgement proceedeth.
Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvellously: for I will work a work in your days which ye will not believe, though it be told to you.

On this particular issue, The Most Equal Of Animals has shown about the same level of "leadership" has a bouncing football. But that's not the worst of it. The reason He is so fickle and vacillating on this, is because it is in His nature to campaign for office and keep on campaigning for office. He can't stop Himself.
Many years ago I came to realize that what I find so deplorable about liberals, isn't quite so much the opinions they hold, as how they reach them. It's the same story, on every little thing that comes up:
1. There's this dirty so-and-so (or class);
2. He's been gettin' away with shenanigans;
3. He's been oppressing these victims over here;
4. He and his friends are powerful, whereas you and I are many;
5. Power up until this point has been far more important than numbers, so he and his pals have been running all over us;
6. (This is the important part) BUT BOY OH BOY IT STOPS NOW!!!
7. Workers of the world unite, you have nothing to lose but your chains;
8. Together, we can do this;
9. How 'bout some reparations while we're at it;
10. There's no way we can be wrong about anything, because so many people agree with us and we're so much more fun to watch than they are.
The biggest beef I have about this, is that people who think they're right just because they are in a numerical supremacy, have validated their position through something that cannot be logically justified except by means of a snapshot in time. That means, as minutes turn into hours into days into weeks, they have to keep on re-validating. They, therefore, identify with other people who are caught in the same perpetual-self-validating cycle -- which means, people who like to think of themselves as nice, but aren't really nice. The simple concept of time, derails them, in a number of ways.
Like: What of these popular liberal figures who lived in the past, who nowadays descend into the depths of moral "omigosh-that-is-so-awful!"-ism, even if they were wonderful in the times in which they lived? How about FDR, who locked up all the Japanese-Americans in internment camps? Obama would have no other course but to change the subject about that. What He's really trying to do here, is make a commitment that He will oppose what is viewed as moral opprobrium with ever fiber of His being...taking that ultimate step of holding silence in the presence of what's reprehensible, every bit as reprehensible as the act itself.
What a laudable goal. But it's impossible to provide a defense to the country if He lives up to the standard. And He doesn't care about fulfilling His oath, maybe, but He does care a lot about being called-out on it. The contradiction is internal to the situation itself, and cannot be separated from it.
So he resolves the conundrum the way the very weakest of leadership resolves contradiction-conundrums. By making the motions of a ping pong ball. Back and forth he goes...wow, if we could hook Him up to a generator while He bounces around like this, maybe we could solve the energy crisis.

When Obama was elected I hoped that he would turn out to be a pragmatic leader and not fulfill the leftist agenda. I figured he was already thinking about re-election and he would have his best chance if he were, at least, a bit centrist. About a month ago, when I realized that was incorrect, I began hoping for a QUALITY candidate to oppose Obama in 2012. After the events of the past few days, I just hope our great Republic will survive in it's existing form until late 2012.
When I read articles like the one above, I cannot help but think about the thousands of people who lost loved ones on Sept. 11, 2001. Their innocent loved ones were slaughtered by thugs. I can only imagine their diappointment and anger as now all this administration seems to care about are the rights of the thug. Every resident of Los Angeles should thank their Maker every night that this group was not in power in 2001 and 2002. This "amateur hour" administration is beginning to make jimma carter look like john rambo.

Obama has turned out to be even more left than originally suspected. On top of that, His main objective appears to build a personal cult following worldwide.
Part of the scheme appears to be that He will present Himself as protector of the world FROM America. Why else would he sit and listen to anti American lies and rhetoric. Why else would he journey all around the world and apologize for perceived American sins.
If Obama is the protector of the world from America as well as the President, what would that make him?

I can't wait to start a group to push for suing the Obama administration for Treason! He forgets that in setting this precedent, it will be a "turn about is fair play" thing when he is OUT OF OFFICE in 2012!!! If he makes it that far without being forced out. And all the shrilling idiots in the Senate and House can look forward to the same charges of treason. Just the fact they continue to try to persecute the Haditha Marines after they were cleared of any wrong doing tells me it's time to clean house!

What a mess we are in and it will only get worse. If we don't end getting up bombed again, I wouldn't be surprised. We have a very scary President. He is compromising our freedoms right and left. Scary, very scary
