You thought he really was all that.
You thought he told the truth when claiming to be a different kind of politician.
You thought he might really bridge the divide between the left and the right in this country.
You thought he best represented change you could believe in.
You thought his hope and change mantra was genuine.
You thought his critics were full of fecal matter.
You actually entertained the idea that he might just be the second coming.
You were wrong.
Here's a chance to redeem yourself. Confess your sin, admit you were mistaken, tell us in the comments and experience the catharsis that comes from confessing your wrongdoing and be welcomed into the family of those who though still pissed will overlook your momentary idiocy and instead focus on your repentance.
Leave a comment, it can be brief or not, it can be anonymous or not.
Simply admit you made a mistake.
Hell, we'll even accept comments from those who are on the verge of admitting the mistake.
It's change we'll definitely believe in.

Rick, I couldn't have said it better myself, so I won't try, but I will spread the word and link/trackback here. Well said friend, well said.

Wow, I don't know if they're that far quite yet.
The impression I have at this time, is that most of them are willing to admit their mistake until someone points it out to them...and then...not.
But I hope you somehow re-post this challenge in the months ahead. It's a good idea. Be interesting to see what rolls in.

I want an apology from those people who knew better but voted for him anyway, or who stayed home.
Yes, I'm distressed at the coup that has been foisted upon us by this wolf in sheep's clothing and the stupid sheep that followed him over the cliff.

Pardon me, but I'll just watch. Got any Jeopardy music that you can link to this piece?

A good exercise for those poor souls that want to get into heaven, but it won't do much for us poor sods that are stuck here in the Hell they created for us.

There is a girl I work with who still thinks that his poo smells like roses. As for the bailout her stance is "Well you have to spend money to make money."
When I pointed out that they don't have any money to spend in the first place she just got a blank look on her face and then shrugged.
Makes me hope she never has kids.

Rick, thank you for addressing the elephant in the room. It's the beginning for those that need a little extra push. They are not alone!!

I voted for Mr. Obama to tell the truth because I wanted to see a Black American in office. I was hoping for change. I was liberal for all my 23 years and I met a 78 year old women who set me straight. (My grandmother) She told me about life and the respect for it and the way men should be men and women should be women. No caveman stuff but how this great nation has turned away from God and the lack of family values. My grandmother son which is my dad is liberal and I have seen how my mother runs him and our house. I was told that we have to get a Black male in office to show this country a thing or two. This was the first time I had time to spend with my grand and at first I was thinking that I was smarter than her. I want the old days back. God PLEASE BLESS AMERICA
