Good news in a sea of bad

I'd like to challenge our panel of guest bloggers to find some things we can cling to that balance all the doom and gloom that's become our focus and so I'll step up initially by linking to this Strata-Sphere piece:

This is excellent news, and proof Americans can pull together to stop even the liberal democrats in DC from going overboard:

The Obama administration has scrapped plans to have the Census Bureau director report directly to the White House, assuaging the concerns of lawmakers.

Commerce Secretary nominee Gary Locke met with key senators Wednesday to reassure them that the 2010 census would be managed by the Commerce Department, and not the White House. 

Let's do our best (and hold me to this) to balance, at least partially, all the crap we're hearing from the media with news that lifts up the voices representing freedom and liberty.  Won't be easy, I understand but let's give it the ole American heave ho before America heaves it's last.
