Via tim aka The Godless Heathen (by e-mail and uploaded to YouTube), a pretty fascinating reenactment:

That's an impressive reproduction. Quite incredible that the pilot brought it down in one piece.

The landing itself is amazing but what impresses me more is how everyone involved-pilot, air traffic control-calmly does their job and does everything right in split second decisions. There was no time to look things up or weigh options. I thank God everyday for people like them. This happened because of the dedication of people who were and are committed to making the most of the gifts God gave them.

Someone somewhere else asked the stupid question about where God was with the other flight that iced up and crashed into the house, killing everyone.
Well, the difference was the pilot - one was hands-on prepared and calm, the other was sleeping at the stick on automatic pilot. Just what was God supposed to help?
We depend on God for everything, but in return He gives us the privilege of His dependence on us. Which should obviously mean that we do what we do with all our hearts, souls and minds, leaving the results in His hands.

Your welcome Locutisprime, I wasn’t even sure Rick got my e-mail.
I thought he and some of you would enjoy it as much as I did. It really puts it into perspective what really happened.
Quick, slightly related thought, it’s rather odd or coincidental how this happened in NYC. I mean a miraculous landing of a plane, saving everyone on board by a skilled, dedicated pilot versus deliberately flying it into a building, killing thousands by some amateur, fanatical shiiteheads.
Sort of brings home, for me at least, the distinct differences between the western way of loving life and the cult of death rampant in a certain (*cough*) part of the world. That and also our way of using technology we’ve invented for good against their use of technology that they’ve never even come close to making for evil.
Just thoughts.
