Mike and his friends are giving their presumably hard earned money away:
With George Bush out of office, Stephen Harper has lost his biggest ally in avoiding action on climate change. When Barack Obama visits Canada on Thursday, Harper will desperately try to push Obama to accept parts of his do-nothing climate plan. We need to make it clear to the American President that Canada's citizens do not support their Prime Minister on this issue, and support Obama to take a firm position in telling Mr. Harper that the bad old days are over, and its time for both the US and Canada to act responsibly.
The media will be eagerly following Obama's first international visit, so we're publishing a big ad in the Washington Post on Wednesday (see right) to attract attention, clearly telling President Obama and the US media where Canadians stand. The ad will also be delivered directly to Obama's climate advisor. We have just 36 hours to raise enough funds to place the ad. Since this is a message from Canadians, the more of us who donate and endorse it, the stronger its message will be. Click below to join in:

They've got my $25. Chip in now and tell your friends!
Why don't you and your friends Mike give to a local charity instead? Why not give to help the poor? Why not give to aid the local sick and infirmed? Or even the homeless?
Wouldn't your money be better spent supporting people rather than an agenda?
Seriously.

When Bush was in office the media railed against Harper for being 'too close' to the US President and since the golden coronation the media has been repeatedly urging Harper to make sure he forms tight bonds with the US President because otherwise our country is doomed.
Do you remember the days when sending a message to a national leader meant writing a letter or striking up a petition???
That ad campaign will not speak for all Canadians. In fact, that ad campaign will not speak for an entire province in Canada...Alberta, and while I'm at it, practically all of Newfoundland has moved to Alberta to work, where? The tar sands would be one of the sweet spots.
This ad campaign spits in the eye of lots of Canadians and if successful, will make lots of Canadians part of poverty's history.
Stephen Lewis will be clapping hands and dancing amongst the Albertan children before too long if Mike has his way.
I hope there's LOTS of room in Delta House.
