It appears President-elect Obama forgot to tell the incoming chairwoman of the Senate intelligence committee about Leon Panetta as his choice to head up the Central Intelligence Agency.
Here's the statement from Sen. Dianne Feinstein's office:
" 'I was not informed about the selection of Leon Panetta to be the CIA Director. I know nothing about this, other than what I've read,' said Senator Feinstein, who will chair the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence in the 111th Congress." 'My position has consistently been that I believe the Agency is best-served by having an intelligence professional in charge at this time.'"
Sorry Ms. Feinstein but your position seems to be clashing with that of the Obamessiah.
I suggest care before soon enough you become the Dianne Feinstein Obama did not know and you find yourself under the bus with all the others who've failed in one way or another to bend the knee.

There is a great multitude among the powerful democrats who regularly contradict that party's adoration of humility, self-denegration, "change," etc. and never get called on it. In other words, if they ever do learn something and change their positions as a result, they'll make sure you never find out about it. You'd expect the opposite.
Barack Obama is one of those people.
Dianne Feinstein is another.
They are both so much more exuberant about communicating their positions, than they are about communicating how they formed them. No "listening tours" for them, nosiree. They know what they know what they know.
So I hope the GoogleDemons don't bury this fight between the two of 'em, as the battle of titan egos builds to a climax. I feel for the people who have to work around it every day. But for this Californian, it's popcorn-time baby. Put it on pay-per-view.

And there's lot of egos at work
Pelosi
Reid
Obama
Feinstein
the rest of the democrats
Might as well pop the popcorn, stock up on the soda and beer, and enjoy the explosion/implosion

Let in not be lost in this story that Feinstein is actually right and Panetta has no, none, nadda, zip qualifications to run the CIA.
As Obama reaches back to the Clinton administration to fill key positions, (evidently that ‘Change’ that his supporters were ‘Hoping’ for), let us not forget what those years and people brought us. It was the failure of the Clinton CIA that failed to kill/capture Osama Bin Laden when given the opportunity on more than one occasion, (which ironically is the repeated ad nauseam mantra of why Pres. Bush was a failure). The Clinton CIA not only failed to stem the tide of radical Islam but actually emboldened them by failing to engage or confront them, besides a few Cruise missiles. To say nothing of decimating our spy capabilities by not wanting to be associated with the scum who actually know what the other scum are up to.
Coupled with Pannetta being is in line with Obama’s misguided, ignorant and juvenile stance of dialogue with our enemies and kinder, gentler interrogation techniques, we are in line for repeating the same intelligence failures that brought us to where we are today.
While I have no love for Feinstein, I’m glad she spoke up and I hope more Dem’s do the same. Less we are doomed to repeat the Clinton mistakes and the inevitable devastating terrorist attacks of September 11th, 2001. (Which no doubt will be blamed, incorrectly, on the ‘failed policies of the Bush administration’).

True, tim, but it still will be a clash of the titan egos no matter who's right or wrong.

All that's important, and also -- it's a little strange to go that far without giving Feinstein so much as a phone call. Maybe if you plucked an average homeless dude off the street and made him President, he wouldn't know any better. Obama should, though, with all that experience he has...doing whatever it is he's been doing that makes him so much better qualified than Sarah Palin (who I bet would've given Feinstein at least a phone call).
