Man, woman, white, black, republican, democrat....no matter...I will NEVER, EVER, vote for a candidate that openly says Americans who cling to their religion are pitiful. Without our beliefs, which are our own (for now), we have nothing. How do you feel when you realize your parent is going to survive a heart attack? Or when a close one survives cancer? Or when you get in an accident and everyone is fine? Or even when you wake up able to walk and breath every day? You have a belief that you cling to, to each his own, but you have something that guides you and helps you through each difficult time. To Michelle Obama I say, "If your husband is elected President of this United States, for the FIRST time in MY LIFE, I will be ASHAMED of America."

I can only add that when it comes to people I'd like my girls to emulate, Sarah Palin now jumps out in front.
She tries to live her faith.
She adores her husband, children and extended family.
She seeks to truly serve her community based on her belief in right/wrong, good/evil and does it without much concern for polls or popularity or anything else.
She is active - physically, spiritually, mentally and in her community - and tries to make things right and good.
There are very few people I see, hear or read about who are like that. I can only hope that my girls will take notice and within their abilities and talents, do the same for their families, church and communities.

In 5 days, she'll be back in Alaska where she's unqualified to be Governor.

For Lisa and Mommynator,
I don't know where you get your ideas about Sarah Palin and Obama. I know Obama has faith and religion. Sarah Palin's TRUE background and history hopefully will all come out. She was a poor mayor in Wasilla leaving an originally debt-free small city at least $22 million in debt (fact you can look up). She is under investigation for ethics charges on misuse of government funds, misuse of power, after she is Governor, her husband gets a cushy high paid job in the oil industry-BP, she is corrupt and a phony. What really angers me more than all this is I see her dare to wear a polar bear pin on a suit during a speech. She voted AGAINST the Department of Interior putting polar bears on the endangered species list, though they are drowning and starving in a global warming environment. She believes global warming is a natural occurrence in stead of man related and wants to drill for oil in the Alaskan National Wildlife Refuge to further kill and hurt other wildlife--while she wears that pin as if she cares. A phony and a liar. We can't be "energy independent" by drilling there and per all the scientific evidence I've read - we would destroy an eco system for oil we wouldn't see for 10 years, get a few cents off per gallon at that time AND only serve America's needs for 6 -12 months, if that. She is uninformed and wants to keep big oil lobbyists happy. She has even tried to "buy off" the small population of Alaska with refunds of money from taxing oil companies but only to help them achieve their end to "drill baby drill". It's a sad farce.
Thanks for your time,
Diannjoy

Geez, Rick, we need an exterminator or something - they're sure coming out of the woodwork.
Do you smell desperation?
