This ought to strengthen Sarah's support with reality based people across the country while enraging the simpletons who realize not that turkeys have to be killed before ending up on their dinner plates.
Note the snarkiness of the idjit broadcaster:
Adding to the legend that is Sarah Palin.
H/T Boots and Sabers.
UPDATED: Michelle has weighed in... with pertinent links:
Mark Steyn mocks the “nancy boys.” Snort.

Update: The New York Times editorial board decries the “execution” of the butterballs. Did David Brooks sneak into the ed board’s office and pen this turkey of an editorial?

A Sarah Palin Thanksgiving
By The Editorial BoardWe’ve differed with Sarah Palin a great deal on substance. We don’t agree with her hardline approach to the Iraq War, her harsh anti-government rhetoric, and her style of negative campaigning.
But we also worry a bit about, how should we put it, the persona she has brought with her to national politics. We did not care at all for the swipe she took against community organizers at the Republican National Convention.
And then there’s this. You don’t have to be a huge animal lover to question why Governor Palin chose to be interviewed — while issuing a traditional seasonal pardon of a turkey — while turkeys were being executed in the background.
I guess they’ll all be going tofurkey this Thanksgiving.

As broadcasters sink lower into emulating John Stewart’s smirking and Mr. Know it All BS that tries to pass as informative and thoughtful “news”, all the while their ratings plunge father than GM stock and their left wondering why nobody watches their shtick.
Yes, shame on Palin for thinking that people understand that the bundle of meat package labeled ‘turkey’ in the grocery store cooler was once a living breathing animal. The horror of having to think about the death of a creature that brings us our dinner. Argh!!!
Well I hope anyone who agrees with that Talking Head’s condescending smugness will catch a glimpse of the dead Bambi (hopefully) in the back of my truck next week. And then have to explain to your kid’s inquiry ‘Daddy, why is there a dead deer in that man’s truck and why is he so happy?’
Well screw you very much, eat lettuce.

Loved the lines at the bottom of the video...my favorite...
"Gov. Palin apparently oblivious to turkey carnage over her shoulder"
Just too, too much..."turkey carnage"...too, too much!!!

Everyone knows what a set up is. Even a media set up is easily recognizable. They knew what they were doing, the same as the guy who was bleeding the turkey in the background.
The funny part for me, was many of yesterday's reports were indicating that the turkey was being put through a "grinder."
Stupid is as stupid does as Forrest always says. Guess they never saw those "this is your brain on drugs" commercials or notice that their ploys are as plain as a bear turn in the snow.

Do you think these folks might wake up if while Obama or Biden were interviewed, a partial birth abortion was taking place in the background? They have such outcry for a turkey farm doing what turkey farms are supposed to do so they can have a turkey dinner on Thanksgiving but nothing for the babies who die at the request of millions; those who choose to kill them and those who vote for the right to kill them. This will probably start a whole new movement to stop killing turkeys...

Why do people think it is moral and A-OK to behead turkeys in this cruel, vile manner? Did you not notice the poor creature twitching - certainly experiencing terror, despair and agonizing pain. Enjoy your turkeys you kind hearted people people! Beware of Man, and Palin - We will remember this horrific scene, as the thousands of others animal advocates have witnessed, and who DO know where the Thanksgiving Turkey comes from. Shame on our nation for this cruelty.

Jenna, you show your ignorance of physiology.
Any body will still twitch after death has occurred. This is a normal phenomenon.
Have you ever seen a diagram of a bird brain? No? I suggest you do in a comparative anatomy setting. There's not much there, especially in farm grown ones.
Death comes to us all, including turkeys. We use turkeys and other animals to replenish our bodies. Look up cellular respiration some time. And nutrition. Vegans cannot get from just their diet what they need to live healthily. Vegetarians fare slightly better.
Our bodies were made to process meat and turn it into what we need to repair our bodies.
Oh, and get a grip.
Happy Thanksgiving.

“Did you not notice the poor creature twitching - certainly experiencing terror, despair and agonizing pain.”
It’s a freakin’ turkey you nit wit! It’s not able to “experience” much less comprehend “terror” or “despair” and your attempt to give an animal such as a turkey some human characteristics is laughable. As far as pain, once the head is removed I’m thinking so goes the ability of the little brain to feel pain. I’m thinking…
“Why do people think it is moral and A-OK to behead turkeys in this cruel, vile manner?”
Your right, a slow drip IV with a mixture of toxic drugs would be better, though strapping them down would be difficult. Maybe a firing squad…lynching…?
See people, this is a great example what happens to you when one doesn’t eat meat; the brain slowly degenerates in to mush. Rather sad in fact.

Hahahaha, I wish I could credit myself for this one, but perhaps the Jenna's of the world should stick to eating meat that died of natural causes.
