The following idiocy by our resident go-to Religious Leftist is pretty typical:
Gov Palin's recent recitations of Sen Obama "palling around" with known domestic terrorists is just over the top, IMO. How can Sen Obama control what someone did when he was a child? And the fact that they served together on a commission does not mean they are actually friends, does it?
... the fact that Sen Obama can work with people he vehemently dislikes or disagrees with sounds pretty good on a resume to me. There are plenty of disagreeable and dislikeable people a President will have to "work with" on one level or another. Why, he might even have to "pal around" with a few over tea and hummus or tea and stir fry.
-Rev. Glenn
Blooming idiocy given the facts that belie the perceived nonchalance on display here as to this relationship:
Obama launched his political career from Bill Ayers’ house. Ayers’ has had fund-raisers for the Democrat presidential candidate. Obama chaired the foundation that Ayers wrote the grant for. Obama and Ayers served on the same boards.
This is not, as Obama told Bill O’Reilly this week, a “tangential” acquaintance. This is not “one of the thousands of people that I know”.
That Obama didn’t see anything wrong with Ayers until it became a campaign issue reveals something about Obama: his actions and past associations somehow seem to center around “change”: as in, ‘the USA is not a good place’ and needs to be changed.
Ayers tried bombing his way to change–regardless of what the voters and the rest of the community had decided. There were some others that tried blowing up things–they acted out their drama on September 11, 2001.
Bill Ayers remains unapologetic about his past; Barack Obama remains unapologetic about his present.
To discuss Obama’s relationship with Ayers isn’t to claim that Obama wants to blow things up (Obama’s “Barack the bomb-thrower” remark). But it may help reveal the mindset of a man who wants to become president–before he became nationally-known.
That his campaign continues to downplay this–disingenuously, we think–is evidence that Obama’s handlers feel this is a damaging issue.
The Obama campaign, according to HotAir, is taking the Rev. Glenn cues and playing the ignorance is bliss card, to disadvantage according to Ed Morrissey who gives credit to Sarah Palin for pushing this issue to the forefront:
Sarah Palin attracted considerable outrage from the media for publicly pointing out Obama’s association with Ayers and Dohrn as “palling around with terrorists”. However, she forced the media to finally start covering it, as the CNN clips show, and to put Obama on the defensive over it. As we see here, that defense looks terribly weak.
Go check out the videos and see for yourself. And then pray that idiots like Rev. Glenn come to their senses... or simply recognize that they don't care and are wilfully being deceptive.
It really does boil down to these two possibilities... sheer stupidity, given the voluminous amounts of material out there on this subject or complete cognizance with the intent to deceive.
Neither paint the Reverend, and those who think as he does, in a positive light.
Pass it on.

Yeah, Obama doesn't pall around with terrorists.
He's just too st-st-stupid to know who holds fundraisers for him.
That makes me feel SO much better....

Obama first met Ayers in 1997. Instead of saying "I sat on a 'juvenile justice' panel to say that 13yr old who kills should be treated as a child and Ayers just happened to be there too!", Obama plays word games and lies. He doesn't trust YOU to separate that from Ayers's unrepentant bombings. Once you SEE that, you'll SEE that he does this A LOT...IRAN&NoPreconditions, TaxesForRich=WelfareForPoor, Universal Health Care...He says only what he has to, not the whole truth. He doesn't trust YOU.
