It's the politics of NYC that makes me wish they'd just secede from the state I love.

This is why Staten Island tried to secede from New York City. The only person who ever treated us halfway decently was Giuliani.
And I doubt that more planes in more skyscrapers would make any difference to these deranged people.
I just got home from Manhattan where I met my niece and her friend to tour them around a little, and she was remarking that the Obama t-shirts on display for sale looked more like a religion than a thoughtful choice of candidate.
At least my niece has a brain. As do my kids.
