My initial reaction to the lefty rumor that Trig Palin is her grandson and not her son was that it is so absurd that it is a sign of desperation by Democratic Sen. Barack Obama’s fellow Chicagoan, Markos Moulitsas, to discredit the campaign of Republican Sen. John McCain by attacking the daughter of his running mate, Republican Gov. Sarah Palin.

But her honor is at stake and we should not allow loathsome critters like Markos Moulitsas to go unchallenged.

The odds are high against the mainstream media (and I am a small tributary to that flow of conventional wisdom) breaking this story without the aid of Drudge or Rush.

Most reporters like to think of the world as perfect except for that Republican Attack Machine which brings up inconvenient truths about Obama hanging out with unrepentant terrorists, Iraqi- and Syrian-born corrupt millionaires, and whack-job preachers from the pulpit of hate.

Amanda Carpenter at Townhall: “Shortly after Palin was announced McCain’s VP, bloggers at the Kos started ginning up the rumor Palin faked her pregnancy, allegedly to cover for an illegitimate grandchild, because she looked so fit and trim in a photo taken a few months before giving birth.”

This only highlights the left's ignorance and intentional evil.

They're trying to use a photo from 2006, showing a normal girl with a small belly emphasized by a tight sweater (probably just before a growth spurt) to "prove" that the girl was pregnant.

They're saying that an extremely fit Sarah Palin should have "showed" earlier in her pregnancy, even though she probably has abs of steel from all her physical activities.

They're complete idiots when it comes to medical reality in that Downs babies are vastly predominant in older women whose eggs may be old and breaking down. Downs is a genetic defect wherein there is an extra chromosome floating around and causing all the havoc that it does.

Teenage girls do not have Downs babies. There is nothing that can be done to "prevent" Downs babies by nutrition, etc., other than not having babies after 40 years old.

The acid evil of these people is beyond belief.

All you small minded people who are crucifying Governor Palin over the question of her fifth child, are just fueling a vicious smear campaign. Besides, if you want to exhibit your holier-than-thou attitude ... why don't you get even more angry at Obama, Michelle, and their children, for spending 20 years in an anti-American racist church, as well as associations with Farrakhan, Wright, Ayers, Rezko, etc.. These facts are much more relevant to the next administration, than the possibility of a loving mother taking the heat to protect her child and grandchild.
