Have you seen MoveOn's hit piece on McCain? It's 31 seconds of pure drivel:
Thankfully, Don Surber has Alex's side of the story:
“Hi John McCain.
“This is Alex.
“I realize you cannot pick your family.
“But sheesh.
“What a dingbat I have for a mother.
“She’s a loon.
“Single mom.
“Eats seaweed.
“Calls the dog her ‘animal companion.’
“Doesn’t bathe because soap is made from oil and she wants to reduce her carbon footprint.
“You can see why she’s a single mom.
“Fortunately, Dad was a regular guy.
“An Alex P. Keaton type.
“Maybe that’s how I got my name.
“Look, about this Iraq thing.
“Can I sign up now?
“I know I’m little and all and way underage.
“But you gotta save me. She’s a loon.”
Heh.

Yea, it would be terrible if in @ 18 yrs. Alex VOLUNTARILY joined the military.
Yes mom, it would be better if Alex died innocently going to work in a high rise versus honorable defending his country. You ignorant cow.

Dear Mom of Alex:
I'm the mother of a 28-year-old young MAN who is currently on his second deployment in Iraq. Five years ago, HE HIMSELF decided that the military was the next step for him in life for many reasons, but primarily he wanted to be part of making this country safer for children like your Alex.
You see, in order for Alex to grow up in a country that is at peace and safe, men like my son and other mothers' sons have to learn how to do difficult and ugly things because, unlike what you would love to believe, there are people out there who care nothing about your Alex, who care nothing about his health and safety and happiness or yours, and will do anything and everything to kill, maim and destroy.
So instead of trying to lie about John McCain, who actually not only did some of those ugly things, but had done to him some extremely ugly things, try being grateful for the men and women who stand guard against the evil that is in the world.

For some reason, when I signed in, my name wasn't displayed by the post above.
It's me, Mommynator.

How come when you're a leftie, it seems unavoidable for you to labor under this delusion that parents sign their kids up for military service?
I'd sure like science to look into that. Come to think of it, I'm pretty sure there's been a global temperature increase since we've been seeing more of that. Hmm.

Hmm…indeed. Coincidence? I think not.
Staying in this line of thought, if one can buy Carbon Credits than I would think someone who serves their country, especially in a time of war like Mommynator’s son & Locutisprime, could buy…strike that, be given some type of credit. Say…something like a Peace Credit, whereby they could cash them in so as to stay out of jail after beating down some the ignorant fools who made this ad.
Just a thought.

It is so sad that the ones that made this ad have no idea what freedom is all about.
To the the many out there like Mommynator we thank your son and your family for those who have taken the steps to ensure our freedoms.
Poor Alex he will be another brainwashed child who thinks freedom is free. And his mother well for people like her there may be no help.
