Don't miss what's missing on the Rush Limbaugh story

NewsBusters.org has the scoop so many are ignoring:

On Monday, Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) stepped onto the floor of the Senate and strongly denounced talk radio host Rush Limbaugh for what have proven to be out of context statements made by the conservative personality on his program last Wednesday.

Yet, with the exception of a CNN segment aired Monday, and articles by Fox News, USA Today's On Politics blog, The Hill, NewsMax, and the New York Post, virtually no major media outlets covered Reid's statements.

Not the New York Times. Not the Washington Post. Ditto all three broadcast network evening news programs Monday, and the Associated Press.

This raises an important question...

Go now and read the rest.

Then head over to Hot Air and read more about this poignant image:

Senator Harkin WAS a phony soldier! In 1984, when going for reelection to the Senate, Harkin told people in debates, in his literature, and in speeches that he flew combat missions for a year in Vietnam, piloting F-4s and F-8s in combat and photo reconnaissance under hostile fire. Challenged by John McCain on those statements, Harkin back pedaled and said he’d really flown combat missions over Cuba in the 60’s. It took a long time but Harkin finally admitted that he’d lied about all of that. He’d served as a ferry pilot, taking planes from Japan to the Philippines and back again. The press asked him specifically if he’d ever flown in Vietnam and he said he had "a dozen or more times." Later, it was revealed that he had no Vietnam ribbons and there was no record he’d ever been there. He quietly changed his record to say he was a Vietnam ERA veteran.

Harkin served his country in a time of war. That is an honorable, decent, praiseworthy thing to do. There was no need to spice up his record and lie about flying combat sorties in Cuba and Vietnam. He made up a phony record and ran on it until it was busted open by McCain and others. And HE is the one the Democrats shove out front to speak about Limbaugh???

The Democrats are just trying to get the heat off themselves because of the moveon .org screw up. no doubt about it.Rush has a lot of radical ideas but he is not attacking the military. Only the people who WANT to believe this are Liberals.THEY SEEM TO OVERLOOK THE OBVIOUS, AND THINK THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WILL GET ON BOARD.
