I know folks... the title is a little... lame... but no more lame than those who are honestly having eco-gasms over Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth". And you know who you are.
Thankfully, there are those like James D. Hudnall out there serving as a cold shower to the eco-gasmic:
Isn’t fascinating that the same critics who loved Michael Moore’s Fahrenheit 911 and said it was a must see film are saying the same things about Al Gore’s Inconvenient Truth?
And isn’t it interesting that the people championing the film are also the ones who said Fahrenheit 911 was the truth and voraciously defended it until they no longer could?
That should give you a clue as to its veracity.
When you’re given the argument that major calamity is going to happen unless you do exactly what they tell you, your best bet is to look into their motivations for saying that. Why do they want you to follow their orders? You can’t take statements like the ones Al Gore makes at face value. He’s a politician with an agenda. Just like the people taking his side. And when they all come from one end of the political spectrum, that makes the whole thing smell of propaganda.
Read it all. And pass it on.
While chuckling.
