17 arrested in Canada...
... on terrorism charges and Pajamas Media has a boat load of links with details.
My favorite, Meryl Yourish, who preemptively rebuts the bovine fecal matter soon to be spewed forth by progressives around the world, most especially (and predictably) members of the Religious Left:
Do you think it’s time we stopped discussing root causes? Because the last time I checked, Canada was an obnoxiously multiculti, socialist-oriented nation replete with national healthcare and hate speech laws.
Speaking of bull-sh*t, Michelle points to this piece where it's doled out in spades:
The RCMP arrested and charged 12 men and another five people under the age of 18.
Of the adults, six are from Mississauga, four are from Toronto and two are from Kingston in the eastern part of the province.
Most were Canadian citizens or residents. Police described them as coming from a broad “strata” of society.
As to the strata described as broad, here are the names of the suspects arrested (you'll note, unless you're an absolute blooming moonbat idiot, a rather common and narrowly themed thread):
1. Fahim Ahmad, 21, Toronto;
2. Zakaria Amara, 20, Mississauga, Ont.;
3. Asad Ansari, 21, Mississauga;
4. Shareef Abdelhaleen, 30, Mississauga;
5. Qayyum Abdul Jamal, 43, Mississauga;
6. Mohammed Dirie, 22, Kingston, Ont.;
7. Yasim Abdi Mohamed, 24, Kingston;
8. Jahmaal James, 23, Toronto;
9. Amin Mohamed Durrani, 19, Toronto;
10. Steven Vikash Chand alias Abdul Shakur, 25, Toronto;
11. Ahmad Mustafa Ghany, 21, Mississauga;
12. Saad Khalid, 19, of Eclipse Avenue, Mississauga.
Malkin's Hot Air brings us this Al Jazeera link with these chilling tid-bits of information:
Canada's intelligence service admitted earlier this week it couldn not track down numerous domestic terror suspects and warned the country faced an increasing threat from "home-grown terrorists".
Jack Hooper, the deputy director of operations at the Canadian Security Intelligence Service, said the service was trying to keep track of "350 high-level targets" as well as 50 to 60 organisations thought to be linked to groups such as al-Qaeda.
Meanwhile, liberal Canadians have figured out what this is really all about:
The Conservatives are using all means at their disposal to burn fear into our brains. Harper's real war is a propaganda war and it's being waged against the Canadian public. We're talking about serious mind control here and the most powerful terrorists at work are Stephen Harper [Canada's relatively new and conservative Prime Minister... ed.] and his minions.
That progressive windbag goes on to opine that Americans are the real terrorists and that the Canadian prime miniser is but a puppet controlled by U.S. Republicans.
Amazing.
Thankfully, there are Canadians like Stephen Taylor:
Here is a chilling poem that I found from a Zakaria Amara [Number 2 on the list of names above... ed.] called "A LITTLE MUSLIM FROM PALESTINE":
I'll always be a contender
Yes, I know my bones are very tender
And by Allah you won't see me surrender
Look at my eyes? You'll see no butterflies
My home is filled with cries... due to all the lost lives
But I swear by Allah I'll never compromise
I'll still throw the stones even with my broken bones
Why can't I hear from you, don't you have any phones?
Ya I forgot, your not on the chase, try it out and put your self in my place
Soon I'll return to my lord , the one that deserves every grace
Oh you don't have to worry cause of me you'll find no trace
It really is to late, why did you wait?
You could have sent me at least one dinner plate
I guess it is my fate
And La Ilaha Illa Allah is my mate.
Folks, it's only a matter of time before we're hit again. A matter of time. And policies hindered by political correctness and/or influenced by progressive bleeding heart stupidity will be the biggest reason.

I'm sure glad Stephen Harper is in the PMO. His own words are clear and to point. It's also ironic that these arrests come on the same week that Canada's immigration minister was aggressively surrounded on stage by the "Citizens for Public Justice" and then chased to his car over our supposedly insensitive immigration policies.
