I enjoyed the article Rick. If I could add just one tiny facet to this thing of prayer and attaining the higher ground as the article speaks...let me be just a little mystic for a moment.

The child of God, with the Spirit of God residing in his or her heart, need not so much look up to God in the heavens...but rather look within, to the tabernacle of the heart where the Spirit of God resides. It is there, the heart, where Jesus told us to go as He in John 14 and 16 speaks of the coming One who would lead, teach, comfort, equip...

The deeper God's child looks inside his/her heart the more the likeness of the Father will be discovered. The Spirit truly is there, in the heart, we just manage to keep the gentle voice suppressed with the chatter of the day.

Shalom

Chuck
