This is precisely the type of thing that rogue (and I use that term affectionately, as someone who is longing to see true conservatives, not fake frat-boy conservative wannabes, take the stage again) Republicans would have done in 1994.
Why the whining---once again, whining about rules that have been in place for a long time and exist as important checks, even if they are occasionally misused?
Let's dispel a couple of myths of the right here:
(1) Clinton is not responsible for Bush's selling of the war. Stop with the blaming Clinton thing already! Jeebus, it one you the White House, but it's really tired.
(2) The Republicans have indeed been stonewalling the investigation of the evidence for the war. Hey, I thought this was the party of truth and Democrats were the liars. Doesn't seem that way any more. Could it be that power corrupts?
