... to the absolute chagrin of many a moonbat and despite the best efforts of the MSM and the religious left, this must be so upsetting to them:
Americans are broadly critical of government preparedness in the Hurricane Katrina disaster — but far fewer take George W. Bush personally to task for the problems, and public anger about the response is less widespread than some critics would suggest.
Which of course means that they must redouble their efforts, tell more half truths, ignore the culpability of local government and report only that which would make the administration look bad. This kind of polling must not stand and they will do their level best to ensure that it doesn't.
Count on it.

In a related story, I'm waiting to be punched by Senator Landrieu.

The funny thing about Landrieu is that earlier in the week she was on Anderson Cooper 360 gushing about how great the gov't response was and thanking Congress and the President and FEMA. She went on and on. And Anderson, who by that time had spent 2-3 days in the disaster zone, just laid into her, saying that hurting people don't want to hear politicians patting each other on the back. Now, she's in CYA mode, talking tough.

Threatening the president with physical violence wouldn't seem to be a logical way to CYA...

I agree. But I think she's trying to protect herself from the wrath of her constituents by deflecting the blame she has earned to the feds.

Considering that there may not be very many constituents left come next election cycle, maybe she should just shut the f*** up and leave the work to people who know what they're doing. She can cry later...N.O. doesn't need to take on anymore saltwater.

That the media is casting stones as well as the local politicians concerning this tragedy is one of the most disgusting things I have ever seen in my life!!! I do not have words to express my total disdain for the MSM's efforts to politicise this.
And the race baiting going on!!! I have never seen such inhumane abuse of position in my life. I can't imagine a more effective way to try and divide and create hostility than the MSN's 'coverage' of Katrina.
