La Shawn is lamenting the slew of white male bloggers:
White males dominate the blogger A-list, but do they dominate the blogosphere? Glenn Reynolds, a white male, opines about the topic. He also links to others who discuss the lack of skin color and “gender” diversity, although Glenn focuses on the latter.
Well, I want interested parties to know that I'm doing my part in adding to the diversity of the blogosphere.
My mother is Spanish which last time I checked makes me hispanic (I think). Add to this that my father is part Sioux (which I believe makes me more Indian than Ward Churchill) and I believe you have enough information to conclude that the 'sphere is indeed diverse and that talk of the necessity for affirmative action bonus points to elevate some in the TTLB Ecosystem is premature.
Heh.
Oh... and I'm bald... have you seen how much hair some of these top bloggers have?
UPDATE: Juliette has some related advice... and Matt weighs in at BlackFive

You're bald? Is that supposed to be a pic of you on the left?

If forced to play the "diversity card", I'll confess to being:
Southern Baptist, theologically conservative but not fundamentalist, administratively liberal (I have no problem with women deacons/pastors);
Bluegrass-Gospel music fan/singer;
44-year old (soon to be 45) never-married white male;
Boston Red Sox fan since 1968 (notice: BEFORE they won the World Series);
University of Louisville Cardinals fan;
gun-rights advocate, great shooter;
former minister (of education/singles);
able to do that "tongue curl" thing.
There, that should make me pretty rare; can I get a government subsidy now? Or at least start a casino? Just kiddin' about that casino thing; I mean, do I look like Ward Churchill to you?

La Shawn,
On your other left is a cartoonish caricature of me, with actual pics of yours truly being found here, here and here.
But thanks for stopping by and commenting... I'm honored...

Nice to know that those old fashioned concerns like blog content and the arguments/ideas/topics that a blogger puts forth are passe.` Much more important to know blogger skin color and gender.
I hope conservative bloggers don't begin to fall for this nonsense.

Hey Ric - If the picture of you on the tank is any indication, you have plenty of hair compared to some (like me).
And isn't this Mark guy a dork? Still more evidence that nobody on the left has a sense of humor.
Regards - Roscoe.
