Ever watch a PGA player play a round of golf and think, geez... he makes it look so easy.
Or you listen to a talented radio talk show host (with an emphasis on talented) and you think, I could do that.
I've tripped over someone who I think will hit it big in blogdom. And yes, he's the kind of guy I'd love to be able to write like (dang it Burk, did you come by that kind of talent naturally or do you work hard at it?).
In any case, the Burk-meister goes on the roll and if you have any sense, you'll check him out regularly as well.
Oh yea... and as a teaser, here's an excerpt of a... doozy (in my view) of a post:
Why are religious candidates for public office always asked if they intend to impose their beliefs on the people, but secular candidates are never asked this? It seems to me that the religious candidates' beliefs would be more reliable that the secular candidates beliefs, and thus less dangerous.
Most religious people have belief systems which are highly structured and have stood the test of time, having been refined by theologians and other scholars and teachers over the years.
Most secular people have belief systems which can hardly be called systems at all, but rather are mishmashes of ideas gathered from here and there and which may or may not add up to anything consistent or coherent.
Yet it is religious people and their beliefs which are considered dangerous.
Personally, all else being equal, I'd rather vote for people who know what they believe and why they believe it than for people who just believe whatever was blowin' in the wind or what they just made up as they were going along.
That's good stuff... seriously... go read his conclusion and check out the rest of his site. I'm thinking you'll go back.
I will.

Rick, You are way too kind. I appreciate it very much. But the reason I linked your site was because I thought it definitely stood out from the pack. So right back at you. I'm new to blogging so I hope I get all the protocol right, but I will be back often to see what you have to say as well.
As for the writing, yes, I had to work at it. It's a passion, though, which makes it a lot more like play than work, except when I get the dreaded block.
Best wishes and thanks again for the kind support and endorsement, and greetings to your readers, who definitely have good taste.
