Terry Mattingly, over at GetReligion, has an interesting spin on the Yassin hit and the fallout:
Everyone is talking about the fall of the "spiritual leader" of Hamas and the militant Palestinians, yet no one seems to be putting any content behind that loaded word "spiritual."
In other words, what did this man believe, what did he teach and what did all of that have to do with his actions?
I have my own view as to why, much of it centered on political bias and it getting in the way of truth, however check out Mattingly's stuff... he links to others and makes some excellent points.
UPDATE: I've recently stumbled across Josh Claybourn, and after reading his stuff on Yassin, I decided to add him to my blogroll. Check out his commentary... simply excellent, and the controversy that ensued, simply telling.
